Is 9:42 today really the OP?

I can't confirm that that poster is the OP. The OP is posting from an well-known institution that is headquartered in Washington, DC. The 9:42 post was posted from Philadelphia. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that the DC-headquartered organization has staff in Philadelphia, in fact it is probably likely, but there is no way for me to confirm that 9:42 is indeed the OP.

Interesting...
Thanks for checking!

OP re-appeared at 12:40pm claiming 9:42am was not him. Is 12:40pm coming from OP's regular IP address?

With that said ... would it be easy/difficult to have an OP's posts be in a different font, have a light blue background instead of gray in the above/below sort of thing?

It seems a simple enough thing to do ... you just need to add an if statement at the start of whatever script renders each page of posts. But in the absence of a testbed it might have interesting effects

The 12:40 was not from either of the previous "OP" addresses. I sort of suspect that 12:40 is also 9:42 playing games. But, that is pure speculation on my part.

It is really not possible to accurately identify the OP without requiring logging in. There are too many variables that make accurate identification difficult.

I just hope his wife is OK.

The only variable I'd check is IP. But yeah. Some companies have multiple IP addresses people might post from, requiring a host name check. That's when it would get tricky.
