ADELE just announced North American tour dates...What's the best way to get great seats?

Anonymous
I'm looking to get two tickets for for either the NYC (1st night or last night show) or DC shows. I haven't purchased tickets for a high demand performer in years. Does anyone know a sure fire way to get great seats? Tickets go on sale 12/17 @10 EST.

Don't try to purchase online -- best bet is to be on the telephone or at a Ticketmaster location.

Sadly, I saw the ticket price. No way we can justify, even as a very special treat.

Any idea how much ticket prices will be?

Don't tell everyone you know that tickets are going on sale is the first rule! If you've been out lately this is rather low for ticket prices! I've paid more this top price to see a show I want to see!

OP here, I would have to agree. I think the ticket prices are pretty reasonable in this day and age. Even if I were to score the best tickets, they're only $150 each. For me, that's manageable. I'm getting the tickets as an anniversary gift for me and DH. I'm hoping to make a weekend trip of it if I get the NYC tickets.

range from $39 to $149. Plus all the ridiculous fees and handling charges etc.

Amex usually has advance ticket sales.

Also, those prices sound really low to me for Adele!

That's gotta be the most blah depressing concert. Her music is so monotonous.

I am a bit of a Ticket Whisperer. My secrets: ticketmaster app, never the website, and seek out pre-sales (Facebook, credit cards, radio stations).

If you're feeling lucky, I've scored phenomenal seats day-off when artist and accessible seats are released, usually around 10am. Best I got was 4th row center at VC.

I just added the ticketmaster app. Hopefully it will help.

Sometimes, the buy tickets day of the show doesn't work, but your logic makes sense because until the stage is set up, it is possible there are more seats than advertised.

Is it better to go to the box office? How early do you need to be there?
