War with Iran

There’s more, too, like the team trump chose was not really up to par:
UK security adviser attended US-Iran talks and judged deal was within reach:

Sounds like Israel didn't want things to move in a concillatory direction.

Of course not, Netanyahu wants conflict so he can cling to power and avoid his own corruption trials. The guy has a LOT in common with Trump.

I find it crazy that no one is asking where Netanyahu is. If Trump posted a total of 2 or 3 short videos of dubious origin in 10 days, what would Americans be saying? Even if Trump only posted 10 Truth Social Posts the previous day, people would be speculating if he's sick. For better or for worse, Trump has been in front of cameras every single day.

So...

Whether Netanyahu is dead or alive, his absence is still newsworthy. He's an outspoken leader during an invasion that's not going to plan. Don't journalists want to ask him a few questions. Perhaps do their job??

I'm sure some journalists know the answer to the Netanyahu question but it's telling they're not saying anything. And if these journalists are American and are not reporting on a foreign leader or a foreign country, they certainly need to lose their jobs or worse. Americans at least deserve to know.

Look the bad actors are Israel and the US. Take off the American rose colored glasses and the US’s action for years have been questionable at best. Iran has only retaliated against the US after the US under Israeli direction attacked Iran. Marine barracks - US battleship off the coast was targeting and killed tons of Shia at Israeli direction. I actually know a guy who was a marine deployed there. The marines were run active combat missions for the Israelis.

“President Trump,

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

I support the values and the foreign policies that you campaigned on in 2016, 2020, 2024, which you enacted in your first term. Until June of 2025, you understood that the wars in the Middle East were a trap that robbed America of the precious lives of our patriots and depleted the wealth and prosperity of our nation.

In your first administration, you understood better than any modern President how to decisively apply military power without getting us drawn into never-ending wars. You demonstrated this by killing Qasam Solamani and by defeating ISIS.

Early in this administration, high-ranking Israeli officials and influential members of the American media deployed a misinformation campaign that wholly undermined your America First platform and sowed pro-war sentiments to encourage a war with Iran. This echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States, and that should you strike now, there was a clear path to a swift victory. This was a lie and is the same tactic the Israelis used to draw us into the disastrous Iraq war that cost our nation the lives of thousands of our best men and women. We cannot make this mistake again.

As a veteran who deployed to combat 11 times and as a Gold Star husband who lost my beloved wife Shannon in a war manufactured by Israel, I cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of American lives.

I pray that you will reflect upon what we are doing in Iran, and who we are doing it for. The time for bold action is now. You can reverse course and chart a new path for our nation, or you can allow us to slip further toward decline and chaos. You hold the cards.

It was an honor to serve in your administration and to serve our great nation.

Director, National Counterterrorism Center“

With the popularity of this war being so abysmally low, I can only imagine they are planning a big attack on us to get everyone in the wartime blood thirsty mood.

I agree. And it worked extremely well in getting the public on board with Iraq which they failed to do for Iran.

I thought all MAGAs were happy to be killing off lots of Muslims in the name of Jesus.

The subtext of Kent’s resignation is accusing the Trump and Kushner families of treason.

This.
And in answer. Very expensive in both. Already 13 KIA and hundreds wounded (that have been reported) and almost $20 billion in treasure. And then there is the cost to our economy and global reputation.

Does it really matter if he lost? He doesn't have to tell his base that. And they will believe whatever he says.

The Iranians did not develop chemical weapons during the Iraq Iran war. Even after Iraq used chemical weapons 14 times against the them. The religious leaders moral objected to the development and us of chemical weapons. The Iranians have not developed nuclear weapon because of a fatwa officially declared the production, stockpiling, and use of nuclear weapons forbidden (haram) under Islamic law. Moral objections against nuclear weapons.

If they had wanted to attack the US by terrorism they could have. The US is not prepared for a prolonged terrorist campaign in the US. They have chosen a different path politics and economics. They are very smart and think long term. All they have to do is keep the strait closed and the US will surrender.

Now it is just time for the US to start negotiating. The terms on the table are reparations, the US leave the region and removal of sanctions. The last two will happen and I bet some reparations are paid through international agencies to get the oil flowing.

Bless this man Joe Kent for doing the right thing. Maybe it will inspire others.

I'm so horrified with the actions of our leaders. I am sad for Americans, especially our service members. I am sad for Iranians, especially those parents who lost their children. Even if we "win" this war, we lose. Iranians lose. Everyone loses except Israel.

Really hoping the rumor about his absence is true.
