The article is from fox but the interview was on CNN. |
| Well, it's not a very nice thing to say but, it is true right? We pissed all these people off with our foreign wars and now the consequences are coming home to roost. |
| A person or group "bears" responsibility. |
| A pretty tone deaf statement in my opinion. Will definitely not inspire those who may be on the fence about Muslims. |
What foreign war was responsible for 9/11? |
|
"Ayloush said U.S. support for repressive regimes in the Middle East, including Egypt, “push people over to the edge.”
“Then they become extremists,” said Ayloush. “We are partly responsible. Terrorism is a global problem, not a Muslim problem. And the solution has to be global. Everyone has a role in it.”" Ironic, because his excusing these terrorist acts also drives the backlash against muslims. The bolded part could apply to extremists at home who are against muslims. Way to feed the problem! |
So what did Kenya do? |
| Ayloush is a fundraiser. He'll say anything to make a buck. If he admitted that Islamic extremism is 100 percent responsible, CAIR would be out of business. |
|
So if the choices are "repressive secular regime that we can deal with" and "repressive Islamist regime that hates our guts" ...
14:17 seems to think if the US just adopted a Swiss style foreign policy, all problems around the world would immediately cease and everyone would be singing Kum-Ba-Yah. It's a particularly irritating aspect of left-wing thought. |
Ron Paul said as much. |
|
We go around the world kicking hornets nests and then stand there bemused, bewildered and feeling hurt because we got stung.
This is what evidently passes for valid foreign and military policy in most peoples' minds... |
| Nobody else is to blame. Islamic terrorism has gone on decade after decade in country after country, always with blaming the victims. It is abusive style thinking. |
|
CAIR is looking for someone to blame - anyone - except those Muslims who have taken an extreme view and have decided to cause destruction and loss of life.
I don’t put any credence in ANYTHING this group says. |
|
CAIR is a PR organization under the guise of civil rights. Their sole purpose to to deflect attention and criticism away from Islam. They've been the chief campaigners of "Islamophobia" and convincing everyone that others are intolerant not them.
They are very, very good at their job. They've also changed their name multiple times to avoid IRS tracking from big donors from Saudi Arabia, Libya, and UAE, including Muslim Brotherhood. They also have strong networks with Hamas. They have a lot of money and a lot of support and have infiltrated their ( and the views of their extremist donors) into the media so much so that now everyone else is to blame and if you disagree you're an Islamophobe. Pretty genius actually. Unless you really dig, you just go along with what they say. |
| CAiR leaves me cold. |
