All New Staff in Sidwell Admissions?

What happened? No Valerie or Allie? Now, the reps seem impatient. Did anyone else notice?

Impatient? I like this staff more than the prior, particularly with JW gone.

My family has been through the application process 3 times in the past 7 years. Despite the many frustrations we've faced in applying to schools, this surprise essay has never been one of them. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but at this point your complaint seems fairly stale. Perhaps it's time for you to turn the page?

One of the "new" admissions staff was one of the most respected teachers in the school who also attended Sidwell as a student.

Between the surprise parental essay and their horrible treatment of the sick and elderly, that's all I need to know about Sidwell and their value set. No, thank you.

I've also been through it three times with no essay. And the new admissions director and upper school admissions director are extremely competent and personable.

DC applied long enough ago for us to be subjected to the surprise essay, and I agree it's time to move on from this complaint. I'm sure you have others!

PP here--I was not talking about the AD.

Change comes, and I understand. Maybe it was a bad day for her. IDk. It's made me rethink things. We're still going through the process and hope to feel differently later.

Seriously? I mean I know the Sidwell admissions people are notoriously rude, but once you've been admitted to the school (or any school) you will never see them again. Hopefully you are applying to the school for more than the admissions office.
