L'Auberge chez Francois has a really nice truffle box.

Range used to have a really great chocolate section - not sure if that is still there.

Max Brenner's has good chocolates but they aren't really a Washington institution.

I have never been there, but there is a chocolate store in Silver Spring called Velatis on Georgia Ave. It looks old time and family run for many years.

The used to sell Velatis caramels at the candy counter at Woodies in the olden days. So delicious.

I would order Woodhouse. They arrive as fresh as can be and are the best I have ever had. Nothing that I have tried around here comes close.
