| Wow. There are some really low scores in there. |
New, more accurate baseline. DC, along with many states also only counted L4 and L5 as acceptable. Some states ( Ohio for example) counted L3 as proficient too. I'm glad we kept our standards higher. |
by 2 percentage points in math and the same scores in English. Both are excellent schools. Why would this surprise you? Looks like all the JKLMEOR schools did pretty well. |
Agreed. |
| What happened to Key and Murch? Whew. |
Oh I agree but it is still sad how low some schools are. We're talking single digits. |
| Deal 44% in math and 68% in English |
Sticking with middle schools Washington Latin -- 44% in Math; 65% in English DCI -- 31% in math; 33% in English. BASIS 59% in math and 52% in English. |
Looks like YY takes the cake for charters! Good job. Similar scores to WOTP. Sad that 60% is then new 80%

| I think it's also important when looking at the scores to see how many valid tests were taken. Some of these schools only had 20 valid tests. |
| Upset that the new threshold for subgroups is now 25 kids. It was 10 last year. |
How oddly competitive of you. Also, check out the number of tests valid - I think schools like ITS, CMI and MV only had 1 or 2 testing classes this year. |
|
Yeah, the 25-kid threshold does not promote transparency in the reporting.
It's also important to note how many grades/kids comprise the testing population, especially for the charters. At MV, it's only 3rd grade. At YY, it's 3rd-5th. At ITS, it's 3rd-6th. Not sure if the Two Rivers stats include all of the middle school kids, but I bet they do. Etc. |
