Stupid wifely complaint

I find my husband more attractive when he wears his glasses.
He is back to wearing contacts now, after taking a break for health reasons. I know he's not into the glasses, he'd never admit it but he was bullied over having glasses as a kid/teen so he's insecure.
I think he's so sexy and adorable in his big black "nerdy" frames. His eyes just pop out.
Of course I'm not going to insist he do something that will make him uncomfortable, and it's not as though I find him unattractive with the contacts. Just my own little preference that I'm whining about here. Thanks for letting me pout.

If every time you see him in glasses, you tell him you find him irresistibly attractive, and always follow up by sexing him enthusiastically, there's a good chance he'll wear the glasses more. Men are like that.

I know this is cliche, but reinforce the glasses with crazy sex stuff when he wears them. It won't work on all guys, but it will work on a lot of them.

Maybe you can make it worth his while to wear the glasses....

Equivalent of "I find my wife more attractive with long hair"... but that's blasphemy on DCUM. You, on the other hand OP, along with women who find they don't like facial hair on their husbands are totally right and entitled to demand he change things back to your preference.

Heck, I'd wear swim goggles or a dunce cap if it sufficiently inspired my DW around bedtime!

Thanks a lot OP, now I got bunch of nerdy glasses ads

it's cute you like your DH though

I would just tell him you think he is attractive in glasses. This is how I conditioned my husband to wear shorts without cargo pockets.

Except OP stated she wasn't going to demand he change anything for her. Relax.

Not to mention that glasses can be taken on and off, while hair grows back slowly. Not really the same thing...

I agree with you, OP. For me, glasses on men is the equivalent of lingerie on women for most men. It's something you imagine taking off. . .

Love glasses too. My husband's now old enough he needs reading glasses. Very sexy to me.

DCUM women, is this actually a thing? I usually wear contacts, but I sometimes seem to find more women making eye contact when I wear my thick, nerdy glasses? I have almost no peripheral vision with the glasses, which stinks, but they can be more comfortable than contacts. If all these years I might have been getting more girl reaction, maybe I'd have put up with the peripheral vision loss.

It's a thing for me, but the guy has to actually need them. Hipster poser glasses do nothing for me.

I wear contacts. When I wear them, I can see better than when I wear my glasses. I also have peripheral vision when I wear my contacts, which I don't when I wear my glasses. Plus, I have two young daughters who are very physical and climb all over me.. If they accidentally hit me in the face while I'm wearing glasses, it hurts whatever part of my face the glasses bang against. Contacts are better for all those reasons.
