We're hosting a friend couple and my brothers and their wives here. I just finished the cranberry sauce which was touch and go for a while there! I am in charge of the turkey and DH is making pies. What is everyone in charge of cooking and what are your plans? Happy almost Thanksgiving dcum!

Everything.

Organized, cleaned, ironed stuff for table settings over the weekend. Made the cranberry sauce, dried the bread for stuffing, made the turkey stock and pie dough today. Baking pies, putting stuffing together, peeling potatoes and prepping veg as much as possible tomorrow.

Looking forward to not being overwhelmed, socializing and enjoying a variety of wines on Thursday.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Why did you need to iron? We always just fold the tablecloths and cloth napkins neatly in the closet so it's no problem to unfold and put out. I've never ironed.

Because my mother died a few months ago, I inherited linens and some of those linens needed to be ironed. Because she was not perfect and neither am I.

I have pie crust for both pies, and making the whole apple pie; DH is making the filling for the pumpkin pie. DH is also cooking the turkey, and making gravy, stuffing, dinner rolls, and cranberry sauce.

We're at my parents' house, and my mom is making the sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, masked potatoes, and salad.
