I'm thinking of this for our baby girl.

Interesting place to post, but I think this is a lovely name.

Very pretty! Uncommon, but everyone would know it and be able to spell it.

It is the name of one of the younger Bennett sisters in Pride and Prejudice, so I love it.

I love this as criteria for names - when we named DD1, I really wanted something unique but recognizable. I think Lydia fits that very well.

OH no. You found my secret name that I've been keeping to myself for years. (It's also a family name).

My best friend in high school was Lydia. Very classic (and classical). The Lydia in P&P was a ditz, but I wouldn't let that influence me.

Great name. I don't know why it isn't used more often.

I think you should go with Soda. I've got dibs on Seven for my kid, so don't even go there.

She has eyes that men adore so, and a torso even more so!

One of my favorites. I do think it's likely to become super popular soon. It's got a lot of the sounds that are popular now (Lily, Sadie, Sophia all rolled into one), plus the gentle old lady feel (Evelyn, Lillian, Rose). This doesn't bother me, but it's something to consider if you don't like popular names.
