I guess they figure all their mediocre coaches are basically interchangeable so what difference does it make?

They have some truly terrible coaches though and people want to make sure to avoid those.

I know parents on my kid's old team (that we left) are hoping the coach doesn't stick with them for another year. Seems like they're trying to get families to lock in before breaking the news that they will be stuck with that coach again.

I heard the 2011 RL boys coach is (finally!) leaving.

ID Sessions are not Tryouts. Website lists ID Session and Tryouts as separate things.

Maybe, but as a parent I'm not so why don't you come out to see. Stupid comment from a keyboard warrior.

I heard Valor put their 2017 G White and Gold in the Virginia Beach tourney. White beat Gold 2-0. Must be why there aren’t many Valor teams in Jeff Cup.

Why does Valor do this? They do this all the time. Put all their age group teams in the same no name lame AWAY tournament and then the teams end up playing each other. Which they can do at practice in Chantilly, for free. They don't need to drive all the way down to Va Beach to play each other.

White is the third team and Gold is the second team? LOL. I'm sure the gold parents enjoyed the game.

Didn't this happen at that Wiliamsburg rec tournament too

They must get huge discounts for putting all their teams in these tournaments. Well run clubs register same age teams in different tournaments at different times, in case teams are low players and you need guests from your second or third team.

We have had a mediocre year, but the field locations are convenient for us and my dc has friends on the team.

However, I am ticked off with shoving this "true AP" nonsense down our throats. "Mandatory"-BS. No, I don't want my little kid doing a three hour practice that includes an hour of calisthenics. They are little kids. They don't need this and its not age appropriate.

I can only assume someone at Valor has a relative who works at "true AP" that they are trying to funnel cash to.

A three hour practice for u-littles is just moronic.

It's not a 3 hour practice. It's an hour and 15 minutes of practice. Then they go over to a side field and do some speed and agility stuff. I'm done with Valor after this year so I'm not a valor is great person. Last year when they did this everyone enjoyed it they do some relay races and the "coaches" made it fun, who knows how productive it is but really you can just leave if you don't want your kid to participate. It's probably "mandatory" because no one went in the fall when it was on a different day.
