Actually Ventilation lady and Lawyer lady have gone quiet lately. Maybe SR will disappear along with APE soon.

Good riddance.

At any rate, congratulations to Mary! Hope she does well in the fall election.

So they chose the candidate who resorted to personal attacks and conspiracy theories? Okay.

Liar.

Neither candidate made personal attacks.

Did MT do that?

MT did not make any personal attacks. That is a fiction created by Kadera supporters to justify their own candidate’s poor behavior,

So, as a new resident of Arlington, and as a Democrat, let me get this straight: an important elected position, in a county that prides itself on its educational services, was decided by 6200 people among a population of over 200K? If 800 people had switched their votes, that would have changed the outcome....how is this representative democracy? Furthermore, moving to an all-online voting method only broke the previous record for turnout by...235 votes? So technology use is ok when it improves election turnout by a few percent, but technology use is not ok for teaching new material to kids because of "equity" concerns?

I fail to see any benefit to this approach

I don’t think either candidate behaved poorly, that’s more on their more psychotic supporters

SR - that woman who is not an air quality expert but pretends she is one. Has never met a long sentence she didn’t like. I stopped reading her posts long ago because WTF … The fact she’s happy about this makes this loss extra disappointing.

There are obnoxious people on both sides to be fair

Yes, like the guy who was crashing all the kids sporting events to campaign for MT.

Tell me more about this please.

Mary Kadera literally posted a conspiracy theory about vote tampering and voter intimidation on her campaign website.

DP. No one crashed any of my kids’ sporting events on behalf of either candidate.

Welcome to the madness. This person will have a big role in how 39% of the county’s budget is spent and most of your neighbors couldn’t spare 2 mins to vote.

Honestly, many parents and teachers are just damn tired and over it. We've seen what a school board an do - or not do. Ordinary citizens don't typically care. Some of you can't think of anything else to worry about but the rest of us are moving on. It just doesnt matter which M won. It's a sad truth.

Anonymous wrote:OMG - will the APE trolls go back to their holes after this?

Or will they go back to bullying their nannies in the fall?

Hopefully when the caucus results are announced, you will stop projecting your own poor behavior all over other people.

I’m not bullying teachers or acting nasty on AEM.

No, you’re just bulling other parents and acting nasty on DCUM. The difference is you’re a coward who prefers to hide under the anonymity of DCUM so no one knows what kind of person you really are.

Now let’s see how long it takes you to accuse me of being part of APE.

I never post on AEM for a variety of reasons.

I am very happy to call out the liars and bullies on DCUM though.

If you haven’t lied or bullied anyone then you have nothing to fear.

Do you even hear yourself?

I do. I’m tired of entitled dad bros thinking they can harass teachers or the school board.

Hope they all crawl back under their rock.

Cool beans, maybe you can post about it another 37 times in this thread before it dies.

Like I said originally, I hope all of the APE trolls go back to their holes now. Suck it.

LOL, took you 14 minutes.

I can go all night.

APE trolls can suck it.

And there goes the internet bully who knows her posts are such shit she’s embarrassed to post them under her own name,

Dude, I call out teacher bullies and people spreading lies. Not sure why you are so threatened by that. Guilty?

No, just find it tedious how you try to shut down any differing opinions by baselessly accusing other posters of being members of APE. You are exactly the thing you claim to oppose.

Where did I do that?

There are MANY people who are tired of the teacher bullies and crazy dad bros. Many of them are APE.

Hope they all go away. They were definitely one of the worst parts of the pandemic - realizing that your friends and neighbors are jerks.

Yep and in their bitterness over MT losing they are back to making ugly personal attacks on other parents. These people.

Even better, the o ly reason we have this caucus is because the Arlingtonn Dems want to evade the law on school board seats being non-partisan. I am a lifelong Dem, it will never support the Arlington Democrats as an organization because they act in bad faith in a way that undermines the proper functioning of local government.
