Someone in her life had something to do with this. Either she was running away from someone or was lured by someone. This was pre social media so it wasn't an internet predator situation.

I'm very curious about the library book. Even though the book was found much later, I would think there would be some way to track down the child who checked it out and find out how it got into Asha's hands. And the NKOTB shirt. Some classmate would remember that her shirt had gone missing. Very frustrating.

Or, honestly, she could have been taken by someone and then escaped- hence running down the highway- and then got scared when another car stopped and she ran into the woods. But i agree more likely someone she knew and trusted told her to walk somewhere at 3am to meet them. Since there were no previous concerns for abuse with either her or her brother- and her home life was stable- I doubt she was escaping from abuse. Her brother would have spoken up by now.

Yes to the bolded. I definitely think she was groomed, likely by someone at school. I agree that she was told to meet him at 3AM.

God, how awful. That poor, sweet girl.

Oh, I think of that poor sweet child all the time. We failed her. All of us. The whole of society failed her.

I think they found his vehicle. It had crashed in the desert. There's a possibility he stumbled out and wandered out into the desert, injured and dazed. The desert may have killed him.

Without an alarm clock or cell phone, there would be no way for her to be prepared for any exact time or have any way of knowing the time to rise. Her aunts and grandmother lived doors down from her too so any perp was risking being seen.

I think this was a crime or opportunity sadly. I believe she left on her own whether that was to walk to aunts or grandmothers house and was interrupted. I also believe her sighting on the highway could have been after she escaped the kidnapper only to be run off the road again by the approaching vehicles. Her story perplexes me. If not this, than one of those truckers abducted her.

Same. So incredibly sad.

Relisha Rudd is the one that comes to mind. We can all speculate about what happened, but there has been no fact-based closure in this case. Everybody just disappeared without a trace. I don’t know that anybody has been held accountable.

You don't think the guy initially convicted of her murder was guilty?

Gosh, I can't believe I didn't include them. You're right. It breaks my heart.

I looked up Robert Wone after reading this thread last night. Wow that is completely crazy. It doesn't make a lot of sense especially considering the short time he was actually at that house.

Nicole Brown - was it OJ, his son or AC that did the actually killing? Was Nicole already down on the ground at the point That Ron walked up and how was one person able to kill both of them so brutally without the children waking to commotion or noise/yelling/screams?

Sabrina the baby who went missing who had lived in Potomac I believe

Do you suspect Anderson Cooper?
Lol. This isn’t a cold case which is why they have closed the case. Nobody is looking for the killers because all the evidence points only to Oj
