I just read that Christine sold her parcel of coyote pass to Kody and Robyn for $10. It's worth over 200K. Why would she do that? I would have given it to one of her kids. Is there something I'm missing?

There is a lot of speculation that the amount was recorded at $10 in order to avoid taxes. Cody and Robyn have taken 2 home equity loans, from the house they own, totaling ~300k this year. Could have been used to pay Christine off.

I'm a PP in various places on this thread. I'm watching Sunday's episode now on DVR. Kody says he doesn't babysit his own kids because he would rather pay someone $20/ hr to do it instead of losing $200/ hr from his job. What is his job?

I think it was just recorded as $10 and “other considerations” in order to keep the transaction private. Apparently that is relatively common.

She did. I believe at some point Kody deeded it solely to her for $10 and other considerations, similar to her share of Coyote Pass.

Good for Christine for realizing she deserves better. A lot of women don't "wake up". Meri needs to go. Her situation is worse than Christine's, but she still feels like she needs him and owes him.

I think if another wife leaves it'll be Janelle. Her kids already don't like how Kody treats her and are aware of his shit.

Clearly he has a favorite wife that's Robyn. She's the youngest and most submissive. She had an abusive ex and Kody is better, but he's still an ass. She's not going anywhere.

My friend sold her house in Texas for "$10." She definitely was not trying to do anything dubious. It's just done that way often in some areas.

I think Meri stays for Robyn's kids. Once they are grown, who knows. But where else is Meri going? I don't think she wants to impose on her only child and her mom is gone. I do think there is an element of guilt about the catfishing thing but she needs to let that go--Kody deserved that and she's the one who was really hurt by the whole thing. Kody stopped being in love with Meri well before that.

As for Janelle, I get the feeling that Janelle isn't all that interested in romance with Kody. I also get the feeling that maybe she isn't interested in men in general but maybe that's just me.

I think the other three will stay in the “marriage” as long as the show continues. Meri and Janelle have accepted their relationships with Kody as platonic friendships and live independent lives occupied with their children, friendships and interests. Christine needed more from Kody and wanted to be close to her children and family in Utah.

I have enjoyed the first few episodes this season. Christine speaks so quietly, but her punch is big. Can Kody be this dense? Apparently so. His mental health has declined during the pandemic and I should feel bad for him, but he is such an a$$, it’s hard to drum up sympathy. 4 wives + 19 kids + multiple moves (which I think has had the most impact). What could go wrong?
