He missed Day 3 of the draft to avoid the press conference at the end of the day. Getting counseling and being with his wife on Saturday (not Thurs, Fri or Sun) was just an excuse. He was in contact with them all day (which the Patriot press guy admitted then retracted).

They just didn't want Vrabel to face press questions that would have been embarrassing.

Male coaches and execs make 20x plus more than her annually. They were using her not just for a warm hole to cheat on their spouses, they were also using her to tamper with other players and teams, which is illegal per NFL rules.
