Active shooter on Brown campus

We have a male violence problem too.

Pretty sad. I wonder what happened to him- seems so normal and promising

Yeah that’s sad. It sounds like either schizphrenia or maybe CTE from wrestling and maybe subsequent injuries. I would guess there are going to be some recent red flags—like maybe he starred at brown but was asked to leave due to weird behavior, or that there will be some weird stories from his time at Arlington National cemetery.

She taught economics primarily

Does Laura Loomer just make stuff up? Why is she so popular?

She seemingly thrives on telling lies. She is popular because racists and xenophobes needed a queen.

He never enrolled. He never was a student at Brown.

Wasn’t that crazy? He’s crazy.

Well he’s probably Norwegian but if we deported all the Norwegians from Wisconsin, we’d have no cheese!

Isn't alcoheggy of Norwegian roots but from MN? Oh what if??

Perhaps he was accepted, planned to enroll, told people he was- then just got derailed

"One of the victims killed in Saturday’s shooting at Brown University has been identified as Ella Cook, a Brown student and a parishioner at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama.

The church’s Rev. Craig Smalley announced Cook’s death in his service on Sunday morning, calling Cook “incredibly grounded and generous and faithful” and a “bright light” in the church and in her community."

It’s interesting how shooters of a certain complexion get nearly instant apologetics defending their actions as product of mental disease or defect.

Don’t see much of that for the dark skinned kids committing violent acts of despair in inner city Chicago.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he just went to the first room he could get into. Class schedules aren’t typically publicly available for him to target a specific class. Most shootings are path of least resistance.

Because no one checks the transport of goods as we drive across borders and it’s stupid easy to get a gun from Alabama where you can buy a gun easier than a snicker’s bar and drive it up to Rhode Island.

And mentally ill.people can walk around freely.
.

Of course they can. Because the majority of society has some sort of mental illness.

Not true. The majority of American citizens are not hearing voices telling them to kill people..

No. But you need a lot more precision than "mentally ill" to identify those prone to mass shootings. Otherwise, you might as well be talking about people with the flu.

Students like Cho at Va Tech...his doctors, parents, and the school knew. He had no business being enrolled in school or living without strict supervision or longterm hospitalization. Same for individuals involved in recent stabbings. Same for Sandy Hook shooter. Etc, etc

This shooter drove from Wisconsin. He was not part of the student body.

+100 this is different than most of the school shootings, more akin to a targeted domestic attack

I fear we will see more of these types of things in coming months. It’s our political climate.

The blood is on Trump's hands.
