The hate on this thread is creepy. Are you adults posting this stuff? I feel like I stumbled down into the incel corner of the Internet and I don’t like it.
Anyway, I’m not a huge fan of the album though fate of Ophelia is a banger. It is doing insanely well. I did not realize because I’ve seen a lot of criticism online, but it’s already sold millions of copies, which is kind of unheard of in this day and age and it’s going to hit in the tens of billions of streams any day now if it’s not there already. If her goal is to make more money, she’s done that big time. |
same!!! |
| Did not like. Glad I did not purchase; went to a listening party. |
At least no children are being abused with her arrested development. No comparison whatsoever. |
People on reddit and Twitter always think everything is racist. There's a line about an onyx sky or something and they think it's racist against his ex. |
Isn't she rumored to be gay? A lot of blinds about it. |
I love all the costumes except that red one, because it makes her look like she has a completely flat ass. She may, indeed, have a completely flat ass, but there are cut and contour options with costuming that can hide/adjust this, and that red thing, while she's walking away from the camera, failed its job spectacularly. Not mad at her, I'm mad at the costume. -a costumer who has made plenty of showgirl shit over the years |
I love how many people are like "Isn't she gay?" and/or "Isn't he gay?" like bisexual people just don't exist where you are... |
Virtually all of the hateful comments are from one prolific poster. She is here all day, every day, posting about Taylor Swift. |
I'd rather know how many unique copes she sold of her album. Some swifties bought six or eight copies of the same album due to the different versions. |
NP and I loved the Busby Berkeley-esque scene and its costumes. Agree about the red costume…just why? |
Was this written by a bot? You think that “Cruel Summer” by Taylor Swift is a ripoff of Ace of Base’s cover of the Bananarama song? |
+1 |
I think that's a big part of the problem people have. The whole album and surrounding merch is such a blatant money grab. Yes, I know she's an icon and works hard, but her whole brand was always about fan appreciation. Releasing so many versions of her new songs and marketing of it all, seems like an FU to fans and its only message is buy buy buy |
As a mother who has bought a lot of previous versions of Taylor merch, several sweaters and sweatshirts, I don't know how many movie tickets, Eras tour tickets priced via dynamic pricing, and many other "things" I feel pretty confident that this is par for the course. Very on brand. |
