Ministry of Truth in action

The way Republicans have treated January 6 domestic terrorists has surprised me most of all. Pardon protestors who bludgeoned and maimed Capitol Police. Pay $5mn in American tax dollars to a crazy lady’s family after she was shot after breaking windows in the US Capitol trying to enter chambers.

"The cumulative damage done to the once-respected Justice Department is so profound that it may not regain any semblance of its former self in our lifetimes, warn career law enforcement officials with whom we have spoken. It’s impossible to discount as hyperbole the alarm that these longtime civil servants are sounding from inside the house."

DOJ whistleblower says Bondi's DOJ is straight up lying to judges, misrepresenting facts, giving cover to ICE rather than follow court orders.

And this guy is no "leftie" - he won awards from Trump's administration.

Bondi is completely destroying the integrity, credibility and trustworthiness of the DOJ.

It’s like we’re living in an alternate reality right now. Things literally couldn’t be a more looney and chaotic. Literally how a class of 7th graders would be running the US.

Not guilty.

According to the NYT article on the sandwich guy verdict, multiple high level DOJ officials were in the gallery for today’s not guilty verdict including the head of the criminal division. Why on earth do they not have anything better to do? Yikes.

YES none of the rank and file will defend the government for this completely illegal and ridiculous firing.

I wonder if this is when Trump will call in one of those $2500 an hour law firms he extorted pro bono services.

Trump may need to call in some of those lawyers from Bend & Knee because these people suck

“The [DC US Attorneys] office is in crisis, distrustful of its leadership and demoralized by waves of dismissals, demotions and resignations that have slashed its head count by as much as a third since Mr. Trump returned to the White House, according to more than a dozen current and former employees, most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive issues.

Just last week, two prosecutors were placed on leave hours after seeking a stiff sentence for a pro-Trump rioter who was pardoned for his role in the events of Jan. 6, 2021, and who later showed up armed near the house of former President Barack Obama. In a bizarre move, Mr. Hornok personally filed new sentencing papers scrubbed of any mention of Jan. 6 or Mr. Trump.”

Stuff like this keeps them away from the Epstein files and prosecuting the many crimes of Trump and his grifting cronies

‘It’s a Culture Now of Fear’: A Year of Chaos Inside the Justice Department

Sixty former staffers described an environment of suspicion and intimidation within the most powerful law enforcement agency in the U.S.

“If we’re indicting people because the president hates them, that’s counter to the whole point of doing my job.”
