I didn’t mean an actual meeting, I just mean to see what they are like as a coach Abe meet them

Huh? Your post said “Try taking your kid to the colleges so they can see the campus and meet the coaches to find out if that is a school they might be interested in.” How else can this be interpreted? It’s important people understand coaches will violate NCAA rules if they meet / speak directly with players prior to Sept 1 of their junior year.

Believe it or not, when you go to a camp you meet the coach. There is a difference between a recruiting meeting the coach and someone just going to a camp and meeting the coach. And there are different rules at camps/clinics. What do you expect coaches and players to do at these camps? Close their eyes and wear duct tape so there is no communication? No one is saying they have private meetings.

You should probably learn the rules before you talk about them.

Let’s review.

Your first post dissuaded readers from going to Apex and AU Futures. You called them a “waste”.

Then you recommended, in place of camps, that players visit campuses and “meet the coaches” instead.

I pointed out this wasn’t allowed.

You then argued a completely different point about player / coach interaction at camp events. Which made no sense since you advised people *not to do them*.)

And please tell me about the rules. My kid’s at a top D1 and yours is in 8th grade. I truly have no idea what I’m talking about.

If you think top head coaches are personally interacting with eighth graders at these camps (beyond taking selfies) you are smoking the good stuff. You clearly think far higher of your DD than they do at this age.

How ‘bout you stop talking about things you think you know about. Backpedaling to save face when you’re called out for making no sense isn’t the best look. Maybe exhibit some self control and start listening for a change - you might learn something.

Or maybe. I'm a different person that doesn't like know-it-alls like you that actually don't know anything and have reading comprehension issues.

Sorry you’re mad bro. Work harder.

If I makes anyone feel better, almost none of you need to worry about the intricacies of the D1 recruiting process.

And we should believe you because your post cites facts and makes a solid argument to back up your points?

You 2028 parents are incredible, keep it up so this thread gets shut down too. The rest of us are just popping the popcorn to watch this disaster go down.

Girls lacrosse parents take themselves way too seriously!

I am not a 28 parent but I check in on this thread from time to time and it never fails to disappoint. I do wonder if the Richard parent ( I agree he does sound like a RIchard) is one person....I mean could it be that this thread has more than one person that behaves like this? And then I wonder if it is the one person is it really the exBLC Hero's dad that we hear so much about?

I am a DP who posted the comment about Apex being a waste and AU being slightly better. Apex was a waste in my opinion because it was $750 for zero instruction and if your daughter’s team lost on the second day in the morning, the experience was over. So it sucked. Nothing derogatory meant towards the good people at Apex but it seemed a money grab. AU was better but not great either. DD got to play with some very talented players from top clubs but again, did not receive any instruction and the girls from the too clubs tend to play amongst themselves. Did not mean to set intend for this to be a controversial post just sharing my honest opinion with other parents.

The other years aren’t like this, find a thread from 2029 or 2027s and they aren’t all nutso. The 2028 parents are all arguing with each other but collectively take the prize for being the most vitriolic.

The funny thing is, this year isn’t even good compared to where the other teams were when they were at this age?!?! (25’s 26’s and 27’s). It’s pure comedy!

How is 2028 weaker than the other years?

2028s don't have any local teams with strong national rankings, other than Hero's Green which is strong at every year. Both the BLC and MCE 28s are notably bad.
