I CANNOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE ARE COMING TO MARET (yes, I am yelling as I am in shock)

If the Maret parents object to him coming as HoS next fall, is it possible for the parents to take collective action? After all, it is the parents who pay tuition for their kids. Not a Maret family, but just by judging from the thread, it seems like there is significant objection. This is not a good start.

How was Dennis considered as a candidate in the first place? It looks like he might have been pre-selected by someone at Maret to become the next HoS and that the selection phase happened to make it look like Dennis was going through the legitimate steps to become HoS. Not a Maret family, but it seems like the majority of, many families at least object to Dennis becoming the next HoS.

There are 400ish families at Maret. It’s impossible to know what the majority think based on DCUM posts.

It would be sad if the majority of Maret thought that way because they would be getting a HoS they don’t want. I don’t know either.

The Maret drama is truly a sideshow.

In addition to the $17M personal loan Whittle got in 2019 from current plaintiff in Suffolk County, Golden Eagle --(a company he claimed as a Whittle School investor to Town and Country magazine)  ----
below is the disbursement schedule for the $25.4 million Pure East loan ---the  loan associated with other company suing him in Suffolk county. These docs have been sitting in public view since last March btw.

The money appears to have been used to pay off old debts from 2008-2012....with exception of the $5M for Chris.

Why don’t you do a survey? It’s easy to do anonymously.
You could even do an anonymous petition at the same time; provided that each person is sent a survey they can only fill one time and cannot forward (so goes to parents’ directory emails only) you could ask in favor/not in favor; and then do you hereby sign a petition to rescind the Board’s decision to offer the job to Bisgaard?

The reputational damage is frankly too steep a price to pay. The arrogance of scheming to get a job in DC again when they can take the circus where they’re not a known quantity astounds

Read the documents filed in this case a few days ago in NY: PURE EAST GLOBAL INVESTMENTS LIMITED vs. WHITTLE, H. CHRISTOPHER et al

Global Education Investments LTD in the Caymans was one of many of his offshore accounts.

He personally took in $25M in about 2017--which has ballooned now to about $40M owed--he paid some of it back in Nov 2019 when presumably he robbed Peter to pay Paul with some fresh cash.

Call up David Yeung, who filed the lawsuit above, reporters--he will tell you what went down and confirm as the docs do, that last October he filed notice that he was foreclosing--and did in fact foreclose in March 2022(this being totally unrelated to the foreclosures on the real estate in DC).

So..parents: if you were Venmo'ing the teachers and the starving boarders in March, some seriously material information was likely withheld from you.

Seems like there are PRC and CCP corrupt business ties in the mix also?

The information that Whittle allegedly repeatedly implied Bisgaard, O’Neil, Baldessari and Einsl were privy to and allegedly withheld from other parents due to the self-interest to see their children graduate, per the WBJ reporting? Also how is it fair that the Whittle SS allegedly promising to pay these folks first when there’s a list of unpaid creditors, teachers and vendors?

Former Whittle family, but I never venmoed for this purpose. We also got an email around in December for donations to a Gift Fund for teachers. I hope the teachers actually received gifts. My child would ask one of their teachers if they were being paid, but it seemed like they were never getting paid on time. Both my child and that teacher had no plans of returning to Whittle after June.

If you go to maret and have a problem with the selection, bring it up to the school. This is all speculation and posters here are damaging a family and a person's reputation. The man has kids and a family and this wont stop. I dont even have a child at maret but im feeling this guy has had enough malicious posts against him. If you have an issue bring it up to the achool and stop flaming a fire. If this wasn't an anonymous forum none of you would do this. Theres so much bullying on this platform its terrifying and atrocious. Grow up. Your kids read this forum

And it’s not atrocious and terrifying what happened to the entire school and many families? We should just roll over and take whatever Whittle inner circle is serving? Give me a break.

You don’t get to do all this and get off scot free, and even get a coveted overpaid job out of it. You grow up.

Whittle is holding art exhibition and opening its space to visit, how lovely. Maybe should have advertised with: you can visit the scene of the crime(s) [in progress]

Ok then keep going and hope your kids witness mommy or daddy putting these posts up anonymously instead of dealing with it like an adult and when you see them solving conflicts by bullying others online...welp there you go. wonder where they learned that

The kids for whom Whittle stayed open to graduate, amongst other, while dragging the other parents, teachers, vendors etc. along for the ride to enable the privileged inner circle families?! Pay the teachers! Get over yourself

Yeah?! Should we be the adults like the Bisgaards who have no comment to this day to WBJ and allegedly took money from Whittle while teachers went unpaid? Or like the adults on the parents committee who had privileged information and allegedly reassured everyone just till the graduation for their own kids could roll around? Just wondering what exactly you are judging by what measure? People sharing their opinions did nothing wrong but it seems increasingly apparent who did. Maret parents did nothing wrong either and yet their school might go down reputationally (seems to me almost guaranteed)

If this board is so wrong, why don’t the Bisgaards etc come out and do a tell all and reassure folks they didn’t get paid while teachers went unpaid and boarders went without meals, they didn’t have any privileged information and there was nothing shady? If they have nothing to hide, this should be easy.

Ditto the other inner circle families, except for the getting paid part? But maybe getting repaid part?
