DH has a conference in Orlando the first week of March. Kids will be 5yo and 7yo. DS's spring break is the last week of March. 1st week of March is still a busy time although not as busy the weeks around Easter. DH's conference in Tuesday-Saturday.
Would you pull out kids to go with DH to Orlando? DH will mostly be at the conference so I would have to go to the parks alone with the 2 kids. DH's work will pay for DH's airfare, hotel and car. We should be able to stay anywhere we want (Ritz, Four Seasons, Polynesian). We would have to pay for our plane tickets and Disney tickets. |
| Yes. |
| Yep, but be prepared to deal with fallout. |
| In a heartbeat. Go and have fun! |
| Without the slightest hesitation! |
| Nope. |
| Of course! Sounds like a blast! Enjoy yourself. |
| Yes! Everyone pulls their kids out at some point for travel. We have (twice for disney and disney cruise, and many other times for a day here or there). Despite what some people will say, there won't be any fallout. Kids miss school for travel all the time. This simply isn't an issue at all. |

yes, and call in sick to school so the absences can be excused.
This is advice that I received from a DCPS social worker. |
| No. |

There was just a thread about this...
Yes. One week missed school in elementary -completely meaningless in the grand scheme of life! |
Do you tell them you are traveling? In advance? |
So true. |
| ^but you can bet your ass those memories from Disneyland will last a lifetime! |
|
Op, yes definitely. For your situation, yes.
And I say this not knowing why people want to go. |
