I know you have put the thread to bed but I must know - is there really more than just one poster claiming LAMB is mintessori lite or is there one poster making the comments?

I haven't read the thread closely enough to know, but from what I have read there were various posters with opinions along a spectrum rather than simply two groups. The argument reminded me o debates that used to take place about UNIX and Linux -- two computer operating systems. "UNIX" was a trademarked name and to call your OS "UNIX", you had to go through certifications and pay a fee. Linux is open source and, as far as most people could tell, is no different than "UNIX". But, it never went through the certifications. So, there would be endless debates between those who thought Linux was UNIX and those who didn't.

Regardless of what opinions posters had about LAMB's purity as a Montessori, just about everyone agreed that it is a very good school. That is all that should really matter.
