clothing for curvy 8 year old

Anonymous
I'm having a difficult time finding clothing to fit my tall and curvy third grade DD. I find the jeans at places like the GAP and Children's Place are too skinny for her body type-both uncomfortable and (in my opinion) not appropriate for an 8 year old. Can anyone recommend a brand that has nice styles for girls who are not heavy just curvy?

Have you looked at Boden? It's not cheap, but their cuts are wider, I find.

How can you have one without the other, especially at that age when they haven't even fully developed yet.

Who the hell uses the word "curvy" to describe an 8-year old girl??

Curvy means big boobs and big hips. Is that what you mean?

NP here but some kids have much more defined butts and waists than others. Boys and girls.

Try the stretchy pants at Justice. They have stretchy jeggings and regular pants, and knit waist type pants and jeans that might fit her well. That's their target age group so they have a lot of options.

Curvy as in round like a ball?

Your 8 year old is curvy? So she has a fat ass and big tits? Yuck OP. Please use a different word to describe your child

OP here. Wow lots of meanies on this site. She has a small waist and larger hips and bottom. I don't think there's anything wrong or shameful about that. Didn't know curvy was a dirty word...

My dd is 7 and curvy too, she has always been. Her sister is more stick straight, and dd has more curves. Just the way it is sometimes. She does well at Lands End and Justice too.

Where do you people come from? Do you not realize that people have different body types and they don't magically appear after puberty? Jeez.

Hi OP. We have the same 3rd grade DD! I second Lands End. You might try their tunic/leggings tops which are longer to cover her bottom when wearing leggings. Hanna Andersson makes a pair of jeans for boys that have an elastic waist. Also some elastic waist cords ( though all in "boy" colors). We have also found a few things at LLBean that work. Good luck!

I find that the clothing at Target tends to run larger than places like H&M or the gap.

Gap has slim and plus sizes, maybe trying the plus size.
