2028 Girls Lacrosse

If there is a list out there of players that didn’t make blue or orange, it hasn’t been seen or shared.

Cap parents on their high horse thinking the 27 and 28 teams will have better recruiting. That’s the comic relief.

I can’t tell who is going after who anymore. Is it just the same 2-3 people?

Cap Blue 27s and 28s are very well positioned. 27s are ranked right in line with prior teams that have done extraordinarily well on the recruiting front. No reason to think the 28s based on their makeup won’t follow suit. Smart kids with great lax skills.

How much does private vs public school play into capital selections?

I’ve seen a reference to Capital kids as being smart. I am not doubting that. Just curious how Capital assesses intelligence?

The past recruiting results of the players on Capital teams are a testament to how hard the student-athletes work on and off the field. Capital players are highly recruited due to their strong academic performance, lacrosse game IQ, and positive character traits. A friend of mine knows a D1 coach who said, “they really are a total package player with most having the grades, positive attitude, and lacrosse skills we want.” If you've ever watched the 2026 Capital Blue team play, you can see every player cheering on their teammates and supporting each other, along with wonderful parent support on the side. It was really wonderful to see.

I think we should change the title of this thread to “2028 Capital Lacrosse circle jerk”

There is a pageant and a spelling bee. Capital runs a series of clinics for both events, for a nominal charge, where girls can practice actual pageant drills and meet the judges.

They mostly look at the distance between a player's home and the practice locations of the player's middle school club. If the distance is 20 miles or less they know the parent/parents are smart and the kids are probably smart too.

Fixed it for you: “They know the parent/parents are not smart and the kids are average lacrosse players at best.”

The T20 recruiting statistics and parent career achievements of Capital players stand in stark contrast to this ignorant comment.

I think it’s bigger than most people think. They know the private school kids will get better quicker as the leagues are much better.

“Parent career achievements”… you’re such a tool! Are you going to post an analysis of family adjusted gross income from tax returns across the various clubs?

I am a Capital parent and this has been an issue for a few years. Nobody wants to speak up though. Hopefully they are watching this thread and will listen. They still reference the 2023 team on the site. Ridiculous and not in keeping with their peer clubs.

it was mentioned to CLC directors last year and the year before.
