I’m 47 and divorced. Also dating- though it took me many years post divorce to get through trauma and grief counseling and rebuild my world and accept responsibility for the choices that got me there. I view her as a cautionary tale- I just cringe so hard watching her display her neediness and acceptance of his crumbs on these IG posts. And this isn’t jealousy speaking- I’m in a good spot- I don’t want to remarry and am in a fun relationship with a younger man. I’m quite satisfied.

My intent isn’t to body shame or looks shame Tyler . That said I am continually shocked she acts like he’s a catch. He’s….not attractive.

Yes for someone who spends a lot of money trying to make herself attractive (tummy tuck, Botox, fake blonde hair, eyelash extensions, LOTS of makeup), it’s surprising that she’s settled w him who doesn’t put emphasis or seem to put attention on his physically body or clothing

Y’all don’t act like beauty isn’t in the eye of the beholder. None of her friends have stereotypically “attractive” husbands. She may truly be into Tyler physically even if most a lot of others wouldn’t be.


For example, I’ve never found George Clooney or Brad Pitt attractive but I’ve had the hots for some real “duds” from my hometown.

They’re both hardly knock outs. I’ve seen wise physical pairings, honestly. She’s way over done, red faced, and manic and tired looking. He looks better, honestly. Isn’t trying so hard, I guess.

It might legitimately be her type. One of her more gushing posts about Brandon a while back was about him and his buddies laying out on a boat with their dad bods and beer bellies smoking cigars, and how it’s been her favorite stage of marriage yet. She was swooning over Brandon in that photo. Tyler isn’t a dad though and doesn’t drink alcohol…comes by it naturally it seems.

I realize now that she is just a liar who’ll write anything for content and likes. I don’t believe a word of anything she writes and hardly believe she actually believed her own lies that she loved Brandon’s dad bod.

The post she wrote a few weeks back when she said she was going to be preaching at ANC - did she ever follow up on that? I haven’t found her to be religious in a few years but it’s just not that as I don’t even find her to be a spiritual person. I get that she moved away from the evangelical base into progressive Christianity but she doesn’t even seem to be aligned with that anymore.

I found it weird when she was recently talking about her ceiling and floors how she kept repeating “We” as in we did this and we do that, referring to Brandon. She still hasn’t uncoupled from him. If my husband did whatever Brandon did that was seemingly irredeemable in Jen’s eyes, there would be know waxing nostalgic about a past project “we” did. He’s not coming back no matter how many cars she buys, home renovations she does or how blonde she dyes her hair. He’s moved on and she’s still stuck in HGTVs home renovation show.

That’s when in her mind she was on top of the world. It didn’t last long, though, and now she’s trying desperately to regain it. She’s like the pop star that had a minor hit or two a decade or so ago but the music world and musical tastes have moved on.

I have a few acquaintances who fancy themselves as influencers and they have to manufacture so much to consistently post on social. They package the mundane into something amazing. It’s exhausting.
I can’t imagine living like that and the narrative you have to tell yourself. Do they honestly believe people care? No. But they need the money fame attention.

The pop star analogy is dead on. She had a few hits years ago and is doing anything she can to stay relevant.

And I agree the Jen hatmaker from ten years ago would be so sad at who she is today.

I feel sorry for Remy. Jen has been so public about the relief of empty nesting and freedom. She won’t have Sydney or Ben helping out. She’s gonna resent Remy so much esp if she did have plans for Tyler that may be impacted. I thought Brandon and Tina moved FT to that hill country area. He showed a new house and I assumed it was relayed to the company they both work for which means he won’t be helping much w Remy.

Yeah Brandon’s ig mentioned new house and eating at River City Grill while unpacking and that’s in Marble Falls. So unless Remy switches schools during her junior year (?) she’s stuck with Jen
