So, like many on this board, we are trying to sell in the slow market. Our home has been saved as a favorite by dozens of people but we're not getting much traffic. I realize neighbors might be saving the listing to watch for their own interest, but what about others? Waiting for the price to drop?

| I use Redfin a good deal out of curiosity--I have never "favorited" any properties but when I go on, there are properties that are my "favorites". Maybe I've looked at them multiple times? Or maybe because they are in my area? Not sure, but I have favorites despite never actively choosing any. |
| sometimes i accidentally hit something on the app and it "favorites" things. I don't care enough to figure out how to undo it, sorry. |
| Watching for any price reductions |
| To watch for price drops. Or, if they are waiting for their house to sell, to jump on going to see those houses as soon as they are ready to purchase. |
|
I like to favorite homes that are similar to ones I'm looking at. So that way I know what they sell for (how much less or over the price).
Now that I bought a house, I favorite ones in my neighborhood to see the sale price to compare it to mine. |
| Zillow notifies you if there's an open house when you have a favorite. |
| They like the paint, decor, layout etc. home renovation ideas |
| Open house notifications and to see what it sales for so when I am ready to buy I know what the homes I like sale for. |
| Not OP, but the 50 of you who have favorited my home and aren't coming by or making offers are killing me! |
Op here: AMEN!! |

I have a TON of favorites on Redfin. I live in an up-an-coming DC neighborhood, so as soon as a house goes on the market, I favorite it so I get a notification when it sells. Often I'll favorite things that are WAYYYYY overpriced for the same reason.
If a dilapidated / abandoned house goes on the market and I've favorited it, I get a notification when it sells, and then I get another notification a few months later when it's flipped and back on the market for 3x the price. It feels good knowing my area is doing well and prices have increased substantially just in the last 18 months. |
| To keep track of houses I am interested in - to see open houses, price drops, what they sell for, etc. We are probably not ready to buy yet. We want to save more money first. |
| I favorite to see what it sells for. |
| I fav comps to keep my finger on the pulse of the market that matters to me. I could care less if it antagonizes anxious sellers asking too much money for their houses. |
