I took my son out of Sugar Plums this June because of an accident that happened that landed him at the ER. My dazed kid told me in the ambulance how it happened, but the owner completely dismissed my concerns. I had a tense back and forth in which she completely refused to assure me at all that his experience mattered. Only posting it because it’s November and my son (who is absolutely thriving at another place) told me today that the kids at the daycare were bad kids (he remembers their names including the kid who injured him) and he narrated the incident again now (with more details) that he has increased his vocabulary. Can never forget how the center mishandled this case.
The teachers are great but I would not recommend Sugar Plums because of how dismissive the owner is. Given the tuition fee which is incredibly high, one would expect some empathy and concern that such an incident occurred.
Avoid this daycare! It’s too expensive for the poor quality of care. My daughter was there for a few months in 2025 until we discovered she had special needs, and they did nothing to support her. The care advertised on their website is inaccurate. The teachers are kind, but they frequently leave. The owner claims to be listening and understanding the issue, but she doesn’t take any action. It was time for us to leave. Honestly, I’ve found better care since then, and a daycare that genuinely listens to parent concerns. This place is not worth your money, and the owners are not honest people.the only reason this review is up today is I noticed they are looking and advertising for people to sign up and if you spread the word you get a discount which isn’t always applied. Just wanted to tell new parents to avoid. Because quality care is important.
