This is school board and FCP not teachers |
Sounds like the child development experts from FCPS are here |
Let's see, looking at the FCPS calendar notes that Feb 17th is Lunar New Year. If the teacher workday has nothing to do with Lunar New Year, then why is it noted on the calendar? Why do we need another workday 2 weeks after the previous one? We all know these days are intended to hide all the unnecessary holidays the school board added. |
SOP on DCUM is to blame teachers first and often, even (especially?) when anyone with at least 2 functioning brain cells could see that it’s not something teachers created |
My brother in christ, there a a ton of days that are noted on the calendar that have other things happening the same day. Cum hoc ergo propter hoc, should've been another thing you evidently did not learn in school. |
|
We don't want this many days off!!! No one does.
Get a grip, teachers. This isn't about you. |
Yes, it's all the unnecessary religious holidays they added. What's your point? |
Lunar New Year is not religious!! |
Again, the teachers are in no way responsible for this. Also, as a parent, I want all the time I can get with my kid. So what he misses a few days of school here and there? 190 school days or 170 school days, 10 five day weeks in a row or zero 5 day weeks in a row. My kid's going to be just fine (and probably happier). |
Shhhh, don't correct her. She's making herself sound less and less educated with every response, this is entertaining. Clearly her generation should've had more school days lol |
"Get a grip, teachers"? Huh? Do you think teachers made the calendar? Where have they "lost their grip"? I am very confused. It seems you have some displaced anger and you've, for some irrational reason, chosen to blame teachers for your anger. Where did you read that any teachers thst Lunar New Year was about them? |
Corrected typo |
I use to be shocked by this too but I'll be honest after seeing the teachers my kids have had in high school I understand it more. |
Ouch |
