| OP sorry to be blunt but do you have a doctor prescribing this that you have seen in the last year? Who knows how to prescribe GLPs? Increasing dose and how to get Vyvanse should not be mysterious. |
Vyvanse is for ADHD or for binge-eating. |
Op here, I was around 210 lbs and hovering around 195ish or so these days. Lots of fat on abdomen and thighs and it also make everything else difficult. My PCP didn't prescribe me for ADHD so I am waiting to hear from my physciatrist. Hope that would help. |

There is the dose issue. It needs to be higher.
But think of GLP-1 as only a tool not the tool to deal with your issues. The shots help. But you need to move to 3-5 days a week of working out or running or walking even. That will do a lot. And then you need to change everything you eat and the way you think about eating. You have to have a breakfast. Tough to lose weight without it. But it is alos the rest of the day you need to change. I do worry you do not have the right doctor who should be working with you on this. |
| Op, are you not that motivated to go to gym or anything related with that? It could be possible that you are depressed and not feeling upto in doing work that is needed to lose weight. |
| This is not going to work unless you devote some time on your health, OP. |
| You don't lose weight by taking a drug. You lose weight by being in a calorie deficit. The drug suppresses appetite to help you do that. You are still putting too much food in your face. Period. |
how do you know that she is putting too much food? It could be a hormonal issue such as PCOS that is not letting her metabolize food faster. |
| Agree with others that you are on a starter dose. I went from .25 to .5 to 1 in 3 months. Lost 40 lbs in a year. Now I’m on .25 or .5 (depends) for maintenance. |
Yes, I actually have both, lucky me! So doctor added to my regime. |
| does is a major issue but also exercising and eating habits. she has to do it all in her busy schedule otherwise health will go worse and she won't be able to put that many hours at work. |
Many of us have busy schedules. I work long hours and travel for work almost weekly (a 1-2 day trip in each of the next 3 weeks, which is pretty typical). Eating healthily while traveling is a challenge but I made it work. Also walking through airports is decent exercise! Instead of just sitting in the waiting area I would walk the terminals. It's easy to make excuses, which I fear OP is doing, but being busy with work doesn't need to be one of them. My guess is that despite being in the health field she is mail ordering the meds, and isn't getting advice from a doctor, which is why she's still on a starter dose. |
I also think there is no motivation and that's why she jumped on GLP without even trying or working out first. a lot of depends on your attitude too. |
| increase dose OP, and stop complaining. |
| Op, Ignore the mean people. Were you on Lexapro before ozempic? It made me exhausted, killed my sex drive completely, and I gained significant weight on it. It might be making you feel tired which makes everything feel harder. |
