| I used an AI app that took pictures which created a 3D body image which it could then calculate measurements based off my given height and weight. The measurements it produced were very accurate. It said my body fat was 34%. Haven't tested elsewhere. Female, 40. |
I have my first dexascan scheduled for March so will be able to compare them. |
I was an Olympic weightlifter that stayed around 13% body fat. No eating disorder, just a full time athlete. I competed from ages 13-27 and now stay around 20% a decade later. |
140 lbs 5'5 Size 8 Nope, you wouldn't say I had a weight problem. |
Agree that the video is a good watch both just to kinda gawk at the different body types but also to get decent advice. I'm a relatively fit, thin middle-aged man, and I thought I was maybe 15%, but after watching that I realized I'm probably in low 20s. But I can do 10 pullups and run faster than 90 percent of men my age. If I tried to lose weight I might run faster but would also get weaker and would almost certainly get sick more often. Unless you want to be a model or win a body-building contest, worry about fitness, not body fat, though of course they are somewhat correlated. |
| 19.5%. Measured at dr. office yesterday. |
| About 40% but I need to lose 30 more pounds. |
Me again, this is based on Inbody, so not 100% accurate. |
| Honest question, how do you get to 40% body fat? I mean, did you not notice you were gaining weight and stopped to do something along the way? |
| No idea. I can’t imagine caring enough about this to seek out a Dexascan. I don’t even think that is part of a report for scans that are ordered for bone density purposes by doctors. I’m a heathy weight, lift weights, eat heathy. |
