That’s nice if they actually admit kids that qualify. I wonder if they recruit in rural areas and admit kids with less than ideal applications because they didn’t have the money for help. |
Um, no. BC student body is 70% Catholic. Catholic affiliation of BC is very significant--and limiting in terms of draw among non-Catholics. |

If you would like to compare Wake Forest to other schools that appear to be strong in public policy, this site may be of interest:

100x agree. The naviance for our school has almost the exact same numbers and overlap of green checks with W&L and Wake. Emory and UVA (in state) also quite similar. Nephew is in NC and Wake is harder admit than UNCCH in state, but almost exactly the same as Emory, top private school in Charlotte. Yes we share naviance data its great to compare. |
| Wake wants to be Emory badly. Former boss at an internship heyears ago gated that I went to Emory. Gave me such a hard time about it. |

UVA is much harder to get into than Wake. For good reason. Much better school, higher ranked overall, and higher ranked programs. |
Emory tiger mom strikes again |
Thank you! |
NO ONE wants to be like Emory, trust me. Why you think people even give a thought to Emory is so strange. You jump on all these boards; you are making it up in your head. Kids who go to Wake want a great education on a beautiful campus with ACC Sports.

UVA acceptance rate in-state is 23%, Wake is 20% overall. Only harder if you are out-of state/international.
|
Can you imagine spending all day waiting for an opportunity to talk about Emory on unrelated boards. It is the most bizarre, insecure thing.

Special like you.

| Rankings changed so a measure is social mobility. Wake filled w rich kids, so went down. They got rid of things like percentage of alumni giving, which also favored rich alumni bases with people in finance etc. |
| Wouldn’t put any credibility into any of the rankings. You get out of any college exactly as much as you put in. The most important thing is that you like it, that it has the depth of knowledge in the area you seek to master, and the size/location is right for you. NEVER make the mistake of aspiring to any school in name only. When I interview college grads for positions I’m only interested in one thing….have you held any summer internships in the field you chose to pursue and where? |
