Teachers and other school staff aren't drug tested?

Exactly!

Listen, I am willing to pee in a cup randomly if it’s happening to all other professionals employed by this county and I don’t have to pay for it.

But this just feels like DCUM is having teacher witch hunt hysteria.

We don’t have a yearly TB test either.

It’s teacher witch hunt hysteria. Happens this time every year.

I agree— I’ll happily participate in random drug testing. Just make sure we expect the same from every other profession, as well. We all do important work, right? Then we should all be held to a similar standard.

I’ve worked for several districts across several states and none of them have done drug testing. The expense and time wouldn’t justify the impact.

Was there evidence to show she was on drugs while teaching?

It's frightening how some people on DCUM are so ready to control and investigate teachers and other groups they hold to be dangerous.

I was appalled during the Covid shelter in place at how DCUM devolved into a hate-filled anti-teacher echo-chamber. I kept fighting it, but there were too many haters blaming teacher for shutting down schools. It was horrific.

And still today, here we go again. Drug tests for teachers.

I've never been a teacher but I'm a parent who has the ability to step back and get some perspective.
