Teachers and other school staff aren't drug tested?

Keep in mind all sorts of legal medications will set off drug tests. Aderol will show up as a methamphetine since it has similar chemical structure as that class of neurological stimulant.

As in, people who may have a drug problem. I don't think teachers fall into that category. Of course there are weird exceptions but not the norm.

Are bus drivers drug screened at initial hire? Do they check driving records of the drivers?

No, typically for a driving job, driving records are not checked, they just ask you to draw a picture of a bus.

MCPS provides paid training for qualified candidates to obtain their Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

OP, did you want to institute drug-testing for teachers?

Maybe we can promote an answer to a problem that doesn't really exist, and then we can put even more hoops to jump for teachers. That surely will help our staffing problems.
