Adults with stuffed animals or dolls that they sleep with, carry around, etc

Britney Spears travels with a fake baby.

(We have several, and my kids are in college.)

He is not be manhandled by the children and does not join the hoi polloi in their room, which regularly hosts large numbers of younger stuffed animals for night-long raves. But sometimes when they have been very good, he gathers them round on my bed, and recounts stories of the olden days, from across the ocean, when he was chosen from a department store in Paris and placed into my 5 year old arms. I hope the younger generation of stuffed animals learns from his wisdom and world travels.

Love this! You are a great storyteller PP. Please write some novels!

Or normal.

My teddy bear is held together by the dressing gown my grandmother made him. He looks like a candidate for The Repair Shop TV show.

I sometimes sleep with one. I don’t travel with it. I did take it with me when I had surgery and I think the nurses thought it was weird.

Then you need a dictionary.

I want to be your friend!

I would like to introduce them to you! Right now, I am sitting with a little bunny named Allie who is a very sweet young bunny. She has a big brother, Joey, who is a gibbon, but he is not downstairs tonight. I have two dolls on the couch, too, this evening, Tracy, a doll wearing a stylish skirt and her hair in a ponytail, and Viola, a redhead with two braids. They are very different. Tracy is in 7th grade and at that really annoying pre-teen girls age where she is a little haughty to everyone and mean to her parents. Viola is a fourth grader, actually, she's a genius who loves science and math, but she hates exercise so we are always trying to get her to try a new activity. She agreed to try low-key gymnastics this year. Finally we have a little black and white kitty who likes to play and also snuggle up. None of the guys down here tonight are related to each other. Viola has a baby sister and a cousin. Tracy is an only child. Each one is distinct in their personality and interaction style.

This is deeply odd. Do you have kids?

So? Lots of people have those.

DCUMAD already covered that topic last year (or the year before)

ok, MAGA.

Stop using "MAGA" like it means "jerk". It's a specific kind of political BS, not just run-of-the-mill jerkishness. Don't dilute it on casual crap like this. When you act like an overreacting jerk yourself, they win

-not MAGA, or even particularly sympathetic

Ok MAGA

I like to hold onto something while I sleep. Sometimes that's a pillow and sometimes it's a stuffed animal I've had since I was a kid. I don't travel with anything, the hotel pillow is fine.
