Using calculators (for example, https://college.harvard.edu/financial-aid/net-price-calculator), it looks like if your family's gross income exceeds 325k, regardless of your location, you get no aid and are essentially subsidizing anyone making less. It would be interesting to know what the real tuition would be if you were required to get loans and federal grants like public schools.

I agree with you---we currently benefit greatly from the kids who come and get educated here and often stay and do great things. We should want highly educated immigrants. They are not preventing your kids from succeeding in the same way---they just want it more (many are escaping countries where there are not as many opportunities so they have an added drive to succeed)

I came here as an international student for my undergrad. Full ride at HYP, they even paid for my plane ticket.

At the time I was applying, only HYP were need blind for internationals. Now, I believe, more schools are.

While Ivy League schools offer need-based financial aid to all accepted students, including international students, students from China, like other international students, are generally expected to pay tuition.
