Kdramas are so great if you watch the right ones. I think they're actually amazing for lower mental health times. I find reading the subtitles helps me even more to "forget my life." A few excellent ones on Netflix: - Rain or Shine (this has a justice element to it, if you enjoy that) - Crash Landing on You (careful that this one doesn't ruin all others for you, ha) - Extraordinary Attorney Woo (about an autistic attorney, really lovely and endearing) - Start Up (a bit more escapist) - Castaway Diva (a bit more escapist) - It's Okay Not to Be Okay (a bit more escapist) - My Mister (sad but hopeful) - Our Blues (lots of overlapping stories of enduring and overcoming sadness in life) |

Weird movies that stick in your brain:
The Lobster What We Do In the Shadows (movie and show) The Painted Veil (romantic but a bit sad) Anything by Pedro Almodovar or Lars Von Trier Stupid funny: I Love You, Man Forgetting Sarah Marshall Borat (always makes me laugh) 21 and 22 Jump Street Spinal Tap Older great movies: The Jerk Gentlemen Prefer Blondes Cabaret The Apartment Glengarry Glen Ross Working Girl The Graduate Harold and Maude |
| For stupid funny, also think the movie Long Shot w Seth Rogan and Charlize Theron is a good one. |

I watched this thinking it works be awful. Was terribly cute! |
| The Big Year. Jack Black, Owen Wilson and Steve Martin are competitive birders. Funny, of course, but also mildly serious. |
