How did that get approved? |
![]() For comparison, here’s the first Duggar daughter wedding. Jana sewed extra length into the bridesmaid dresses for modesty. |
k That bridesmaid color is horrible. |
She looks beautiful in the pictures! The wedding doesn’t have the bargain basement look the other Duggars have had. |
There in their 30s so it's not really that surprising and they have likely been dating for a while. I wonder if she has been on the verge of wanting to break away and has been questioning for a long time and her sisters speaking out against their upbringing did help push her to move forward. I really hope in all those years she at least pursue higher education. It seems like such a waste of an adult life to just sit around your parents house and do nothing with oneself. |
I never got the sense she was doing nothing. She contributed massively to raising those kids and keeping up the house. Which as a feminist, should be her choice, but these things have value. She was going to nursing school. She enjoys crafting. She seemed to always have a social and travel schedule. Getting married doesn’t mean she’s now “doing something”….in fact, with her move, it may take her away from school and hobbies (which again, is entirely her choice). |
According to the People article she did start nursing school last year, so that is something. I feel sad for her that she had to sell her wedding photos to People magazine because her father makes her. |
Is Jessa pregnant? She looks bigger than normal. |
Is the husband also a fundie? I hope she is happy. |
What kind of question is that? And why use a slur to describe someone’s religious beliefs? |
Are you a fundie? |
The only people who think "fundie" is a slur, are the same people who think women shouldn't have autonomous rights over their own health and bodies. |
I wonder if her parents forbade her from inviting Jill. That would be so sad.

I read her interview. It doesn’t even sound like she loves him, just that she was giving up hope and was worried she wouldn’t find anyone else. |
According to Freejinger, Jill and her family were at the wedding. Jill just was not in the wedding party. |
