| Giving up sweets doesn’t count for lent. Perhaps, spending time with the Blessed Sacrament once a week, a good confession, Stations of the cross, daily prayers and reflection. Walking while meditating in the gospel is a beautiful way of prepearing yourself for Easter. |
Gasp. But what will you do without DCUM?!? |
| Daily Mass, Daily Rosary, Adoration 3x Week |
| What are you planning for this year? |
|
- Half day fast and prayer whenever I feel hungry every Friday.
- Spending 30 minutes praying after my usual bedtime. |
| No cursing and no complaining. |
You should do that all the time. I hope you keep it up after Lent and don't consider it only as a Sacrifice |
Sundays only during Lent? I found out as a kids that Sunday's don't count, so you can do all the bad stuff on Sundays. For me, it was eating Ice Cream. I don't observe Lent any more. |
But if they're not catholic, it's not a sin. |

Doing the 2025 version of Hallow's Pray Lent #40 challenge. This year it's centered on Jose Maria Escriva's work, The Way.
Also giving up sugar in all forms. This is hard for me - I love sweets. |
| No candy and cookies |
| I am fasting all day (36 hours) on Wednesdays and Fridays. Water only. Feels amazing. |
| 2026. How are you observing this year? |
Good that you're giving up sweets then. Lent is all about sacrifice so you can get to heaven when you die. |
That's a good one. Also helps to keep you skinny. |
