For starters, the recruit list was clearly NOT made by DG', as it's missing plenty of commits. For example, for M&D 2025 they left off a Maryland commit, a second USC commit, a Villanova commit and possibly others but I don't have time to sit here and double check. The point that Capital is good for recruiting has been made, but I would not take this list as proof of anything beyond that.

Correct; was not developed by DG. But I appreciated the material.

DG is irrelevant and just a former Pride dad indulging in orange and blue cupcakes at this point

What did he do to you? Did he predict your daughter's team would lose or something? Sounds like jealous conjecture. Wouldn't mind one of those cupcakes though.

Why has the Capital web site not been updated since 2022? Went to look at team rosters and they have 2022 to 2025.

Very few difference makers but that is the nature of difference makers, they are rare. Actually capital doesn't do squat. Capital parents and players produce the product. Capital just takes the credit.

In summary, Capital picks kids who check all the boxes. Brilliant!

A couple websites were saying they were taking all the credit for recruits, so they shut it down.

The college coaches and upcoming players know what's up, so that's enough.

Is this actually a 2028 thread anymore? Or is it Capital vs. the world and then occasionally a 2025 Capital parent throwing haymakers at the 2028s for some reason, unaware they checked out weeks ago?

5000th post (I think).

It’s funny how now that tryouts are over this thread turned into Capital Vs Everybody.

Coincidence? Doubtful

I’m a Capital parent and let’s not be overly dramatic. It is probably the same 3-4 MD parents who keep posting here. Hardly the world. And while I rarely post, I’m guessing it is 3-4 Cap parents who routinely post. People need to take a deep breath.

This is not wrong. The kids develop themselves. If you're waiting for Capital to do it - good luck. Capital is just the vessel to get them recruited. Most of the development comes from outside work (either on their own or paying for it) and playing on a good private high school team.

Same argument can be made for every club. At the top 20 club level the players are all putting in the extra work. Capital coaches include former Team USA players, a former Tewaaraton finalist, former NCAA national champions, and a former IWLCA All American First Team Selection/ National Defender of the Year. They know the game a fair bit.

Now Capital can beat everyone, the world? Really? They haven't even practiced yet. Good Lord.

I don’t think that is what the prior post was suggesting. I believe the point was the forum had become a battle between Capital fanboys and haters and was no longer relevant to people interested in discussion of 2028 girls lacrosse.

It is related to the 2028 discussion. Most of the Cap supporters are led by the new 2028 parents defending their choices.

The way you get this thread locked is to broach the trans issue in women’s lax. This thread has had a nice run but that would do it in no time.
