favorite saying you always go back to

My dad always quoted Churchills "if your going through hell, you keep going." It has popped up in my head so many times during my life. Its just one of those sayings that really work for a multiple of life situations and has a lot of simple truth to it. Anyone else have something like this...kind of a self motto/ favorite quote.

to my kids at the dinner table:
- 4 on the floor
- square in the chair

for work and many other activities
- lead, follow, or get the hell out of my way

to my kids (and sometime DH)
- suck it up buttercup
- buckle up buttercups

getting the kids/family out the door
- here we go, here we go, here we go (football coach saying)

when i'm driving and another driver can't seem to make a turn when space is available
- are you waiting for an invitation?

"If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough." - andretti

The best way to predict your future is to create it." - abe

To my kids and said it to my boss once after he asked me what I wanted (wrt a promotion) and I told him exactly what I wanted
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you'll land among the stars."

To my kids and my team at work:
Go big or go home"

I know i have more but can't think of them right now. My kids laugh at me because I use so many quotes with them, but the messages seem to stick so it works for me!

When I stub my toe, drop something in the kitchen, or epically screw up: "FUUUUCK!" Nothing more, nothing less.

When something annoying happens again and again: "Otra vez?" (This is to myself, and no, I'm not Latino).

Word to describe every annoying, crummy, or stressful situation: "Hellish" or "Shitstorm."

In Metro, muttered underneath my breath: "Move it, turds!"

The chief cause of failure is sacrificing what you want most for what you want in the moment. That helped me when I was working my way through school.
