Gaza War, Part 3

You mean because the terror groups hate Jews…and Americans…and basically everyone who isn’t a devout follower of whatever religious extremism they claim to fight for (*and sometimes they still fight against those “brothers in arms” when it feels right)?

I’ve come to accept that you can’t negotiate with terrorists and live peacefully with them. Their commitment to killing and dying for some religious cause makes it impossible to tolerate their behavior or beliefs let alone attempt to coexist with them.

They do not hate Jews. They hate Israel because of what it is has been doing to the Palestinians for 75 years. They hate Americans because Israel would not exist without the US. Iran would not gain the support of these group if Israel had settled the Palestinians issue years ago. All the countries around Israel are destabilized by Israel for years because Israel wants a free fighter zone. Israel is a racial religious terrorist state and as you rightly say you can’t negotiate or coexist with this type of entity. Blinken has just found that out.

Israel can not coexist with any country in the region. Every terrorist group in the region has its origins because of Israel’s action and US support for those actions. It is time to try something different. Why does the US have to bomb, invade, pressure, etc every country in the region but Israel?

Yes, they do hate Jews. If you can’t even acknowledge that simple truth, you’ll never understand and do not have anything to contribute to the dialog here.

And every terrorist “video” sent to the US government and media gets leaked and “translated” by the Israeli Site Intelligence Group based in Bethesda .

The leaders we have aren’t very smart. Trump is right about that but he is included.

It is an obvious conflict of interest to let a non neutral party be our source of intelligence

I think this is a mistake. The Houthi's will not stop now. It will only escalate.

The houthis were already escalating.

They are terrorists backed by Iran who hate America. Their only purpose is to wreak havoc.

Want something to worry about? Go onto the DHS website and see how many Yemenis entered the US in the last year or two along with Iranis and people from other countries that hate America. You’ll note they are all young men. Worry about acts of terror on US soil.

You’ll say, “That’s why we shouldn’t have bombed. Why poke the bear?”

Doesn’t matter. Iran is angling for war and will use their chess pieces to provoke until we engage. Swift and brutal response will be necessary.

This is terrible
If Israel could just end its brutal campaign of mightily vengeance, we would have world peace

You’re being facetious, right?

Because Iran and the Houthis couldn’t care less about what’s happening to the Palestinians in Gaza. If anything, they just want to fight.

Thugs gonna thug. Terrorists gonna terror. Poorly educated misogynists bizarrely fueled by “religious” hate against anyone who doesn’t share their anti-everything beliefs gonna be a problem for the civilized world.

Hmm....in another words, you think that the years of bombing Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, had nothing to do with what the Houthis do?

Interesting.

Bombing by whom? The Houthis or the Saudi-backed coalition supporting the nation’s government? Or the recent bombing by the US and UK?

It’s hard to sort through this when religious extremist terrorists keep popping up and provoking military responses, right?

It really isn't. People who are being bombed into oblivion with utter disregard to civilian costs eventually react in ways that the tender Bethesda ladies find to be offputting. Oh well.

A report released by the Yemeni Embassy authored by Embassy official Salem Baafi, makes a case that antisemitism and other forms of hate form an essential part of the worldview and motivation of Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

The Houthis’ oft-invoked slogan is itself antisemitic. While their Iranian patron encourages chants of “Death to America, Death to Israel,” the Houthis’ own motto goes one step further, proclaiming “Death to America, Death to Israel, Damn the Jews.”

Google it.

I’m going to believe the Yemeni Embassy report. Seems like a legit source.

We all know that is not true. This is not about Hamas. It is about killing Palestinians. The IDF by their own admission say there are over 20,000 Hamas fighter still active and 75% of the “tunnel complex” has not been taken. I really question these numbers(seems very made up Israel’s intelligence services) but it an admission the IDF has failed in Gaza. If the IDF wanted to take out Hamas they would have done it now. Gaza is just not that big.

Israel will achieved a Pyrrhic victory. When Netanyahu opens the next front in Lebanon it will tax the IDF to its breaking point. Though he is the only one who will stand up to the US/Biden and keep Israel safe.

Stand up? Biden and Blinken are trying to keep the idiot from hurting himself and his country . He’s already done enough of that. He sold them right down the River for a few Qatari dollars. He’s not any different than Hamas when it comes to not giving a shit about Israelis who died. He couldn’t even face the families of the dead on 10/7 for weeks.

He’s been a blight on Israel.

Sure. Everyone just randomly hates Jews. It has nothing to do with the action taken by Israel. Just keep repeating your propaganda.

The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.

Is this a joke? I guess everything must be antisemitic vs regional powers pursuing their interests in the region.

DP.

Do you know anything AT ALL about history?

For 2,000+ years, yeah, everyone has just randomly hated Jews.

But you're magically different, right?

Explain why the Houthis hate Israel and “the Jews” when their beef has seemingly been with the Saudi-backed coalition propping up the Yemeni government? Or are you leapfrogging over that to just focus on the ongoing beef all the Arab terrier groups have with Israel…and…ya know…their well-established anti-Jew/anti-everyone who doesn’t share my exact brand of extremist beliefs? Umkay.

Houthi's FAFO.

They shouldn't have been bombing international ships in the Red Sea.

Great another front in the never ending war that is the US support for Israel.

Bombing Houthi miliary warehouses has nothing to do with Gaza and everything to do with making sure soverign vessels have access to the red sea.

Well it has to do with both Gaza and safe passage for vessels since the Houthhis started this in response to Gaza bombardment.

Indiscriminate Houthi attacks on random civilian shipping vessels was never a legitimate response to Israel.

And I think indiscriminate bombing on civilians, intentionally starving over two million people, and killing journalists reporting on the atrocities is not a legitimate response to the attacks of 10/7. Yet that is what Israel has chosen to do.

Israel is providing food convoys. Hamas is the one that has chosen a path of intercepting, withholding and stealing food and supplies for themselves, leaving civilians to starve and go without medicine. How is that legitimate?

You're so brainwashed.

If Hamas hadn't conducted that horrific terrorist attack against civilians on 10/7 we could have world peace.

And now we have Iran-backed terrorists randomly attacking peaceful civilian ships for no legitimate reason.

Sorry but Israel isn't solely to blame

"Radomly attacking' 'no legitimate reason'? There's nothing random about it, it's in clear response to the daily genocide we are witnessing on our screens everyday. Frankly I'm shocked the muslim world hasn't done more. Thankful but shocked.

Amazing how they consider Palestinian kids adults.

Ruqaya Ahmad Odeh Jahalin, four, was shot in the back by Israeli forces around 5:30 p.m. on January 7 while sitting in the backseat of a shared taxi van near an Israeli military checkpoint near the Palestinian village of Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem in the central occupied West Bank, according to documentation collected by Defense for Children International - Palestine. After Ruqaya and her mother drove through the checkpoint, a car driving about 40 meters (131 feet) behind them did not stop for inspection by Israeli forces. Israeli forces opened fire on both vehicles, striking Ruqaya in the back. An Israeli military ambulance transported Ruqaya and her mother to the checkpoint, where Ruqaya’s father met them. Israeli forces interrogated Ruqaya’s father before allowing him to leave without releasing Ruqaya’s body.

Why are Palestinians trying to crash military checkpoints? And aren't people aware that bullets are messy things, they can bounce, they can penetrate through one object and continue travel to another, and so on. Attempting to ram your way through a military checkpoint puts everyone at risk. It would be sheer insanity to assume nobody would get hurt from such an act.

The four year old? Didn’t crash a military checkpoint. The driver of her vehicle? Didn’t crash a military checkpoint.

The IDF killed a child for the crime of being Palestinian. And you defended it. Two fascinating levels of dehumanization on display.

A lunatic next to them did tried to crash the military checkpoint, and that person is who put the child in that risk. And again, you seem completely oblivious to realities as they unfold on the ground. You seem incredibly naive about the world.

Do you realize you make no sense. The person whose finger is in the trigger is the one who kills.

Technically, of course.

Morally and legally? It depends. Felony murder doctrine, for example.

Felony murder doctrine in this case would implicate the IDF. They were already engaged in an occupation deemed illegal https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/documents/hrbodies/hrcouncil/coiopt/2022-10-19/Report-COI-OPT-14Sept2022-EN.pdf when they shot a child who had, incidentally, not committed any crime.

I’m sure the IDF will “investigate”

The international community must ostracize Israel and, if it continues to support Israel, the United States.

Israel is doing incalculable damage to America’s global standing.

America’s global standing is not affected in any material way by its support for Israel.

Get serious.

Our global standing is actually negatively affected by our unbiased support for Israel.

My. Fancy that

I'm old enough to know the US's global standing is negatively affected no matter what we do. Many countries including the dogmatic Arab countries think the US is nutters for endorsing and promoting LGBTA rights, for example.

Coming to the stage, y’all, it’s the ever-present nutters shrew! Woo!

Would you believe that there are two of us?

Glorious word. Evocative, precise, and oh-so-apt.

Doubt the universe is ready for two of you, but DID is an actual disorder, so …

As to your point, the argument that the U.S. will be criticized or disliked by others no matter what we do is utter bullshit that’s easy to see through. That argument has been misused for decades now by Zionists to take attention away from the actual consequences of our support of Israel and the blank check we provide that enables Israel to terrorize and bully its neighbors.

After the 9/11 attacks occurred, the perpetrators told us in very, very, very explicit terms that the attacks were planned and executed in direct response to our support of Israel and its sustained, horrific mistreatment of indigenous Palestinians in the Middle East. The message was clear: we were attacked because of the devastating damage to regional stability and human rights that the U.S. has enabled Israel to author without consequence.

In response, the Zionist propaganda campaign sprung to life and distorted what was actually said into “They hate our Western values and way of life!” … and tens of millions of Americans still eat at that poisoned trough today.

Save that nonsense that our actions have no consequence for someone else.

So your argument is that the US shouldn’t support Israel bc Islamic terrorists?

Snort.

But accepting your argument for a moment, OBL wanted to incite revolution throughout the ME.

So the US should stop providing arms and support to all ME countries too, right?

Only OBL—approved global interactions for the US henceforth!

DP Supporting Israel cause and increases terrorism. When the US cuts ties and stops propping up Israel, the ME will stabilize. The US can finally reapproach Irans and bring stability to the region in the world.

Wow. Extra delusional. Just every bit of this. Especially the suggestion that the Iran could ever be a force for stability!!! OMFG.

Iran is a 5,000 year old civilization and, despite Israel's repeated attempts to provoke them into attacking IDF ( to give them a pretext to bomb Iran), they are showing restraint. Albeit, they have outed the USA for their behind the scenes statements to them that " the USA wants no war with Iran and wants no escalation"

In contrast, Israel was formed only about 80 years ago and in those 80 years has started multiple wars, brutalized their Palestinian cousins and forced their displacement , bombed Lebanon to such an extent that it created the conditions of decades of instability, created spyware that has destroyed the foundations of privacy, freedom of speech, diplomacy in the world and is now, in just 80 years since it's founding, committing Genocide.

Israel and the USA's unilateral support of its aggression towards ALL of it's neighbor's is the cause of Middle East instability, not Iran.

Further, the Ayatollahs and the Iranian mullah's in general were the CIA's choice to overthrow the elected government of the Iranian people under Mosadegh
