You’re probably talking about me. I’m of European extraction and my father is a diplomat. Both of those facts make me a lot more familiar with the workings of Western European royal families than most Americans are. I am neither for or against Nicole Coste. Simply stating well known facts. She is the apple of Albert’s eye and between increasingly liberalizing racial attitudes, Charles elevating Camilla, Charlene being a public relations nightmare, and Nicole
having charmed nearly everyone in Monaco, there’s a very good chance Albert might elevate her in the next 10 years. I am sorry if that bothers you.

Welp, as I said, unhinged.

NP.

Let’s call it what it is.

You’re angry that a black woman is edging out a white woman. You’ve been all over this thread with snide comments. Seek help. No matter who wins the prince, you’re still an American wage slave. Crown royal is as close as you’ll come to royalty.

Yes, I, internet rando, who has posted in this thread maybe three or four times, and who didn't know the name Nicole Coste until this week, is hugely racially offended by some royal family I have a passing interest in because of their train wreck lives. You called it.

European NP here. This will be my last post in this thread because I have become bored. But this is the sort of thing I am talking about. She got that crazy-looking haircut purely to embarrass her husband and his family. That sort of spite will not be tolerated nor should it be. Countless women and men before her have played their parts and she is not special. No one in Monaco and respectable European circles has any sympathy at all for this arrogant woman.

Do you know her?

I think it may BE her, or her stalker. This is an absolutely crazy level of interest and supposition over motives and events. Like, I'm kind of impressed.

But you’re all over the thread too though, so….

Now that I am reading about Nicole Coste and son (thanks for the links), it’s all making sense. It seems like Charlene hoped she could avoid this, like this day would never come. Instead it was like running head first into a brick wall. Nicole has the son, the history, the personality, the charm. Charlene looks like she is constantly under lock, key and duress. I do not know how she can free herself. It’s almost like the best person to ask for advice is Nicole, and she burned that bridge. One poorly calculated move, and here we are.

For the life of me, I don’t know how Charlene played this so stupidly. All she had to do was produce an heir and a spare and then live in the lap of luxury for the rest of her life. Instead, she became possessive and angry that Prince Albert’s consort, who predated Charlene, remained in his life. It is the height of immaturity to accept a deal and then complain about the terms afterwards. It is also dangerous when your spouse has total authority over you. She is going to remain locked away until they can trust her not to do and say embarrassing things to Prince Albert and Nicole Coste.

You have a future in soap opera screen-writing.

So Charlene didn't want to marry him but did it for the financial benefits to her family, plus maybe a bit of delusion/optimism that he would keep it in his pants after marriage, and that didn't work out. Meanwhile, Nicole Coste still appeals to Albert and she doesn't object when he sleeps around, suggesting that she understands the rules for this gig better than Charlene.

Is that about it?

Yes.

Nicole Coste is beautiful, charming, and sophisticated about these sorts of things. Prince Albert has had dalliances and so has she. So what? No one can come between them. Prince Charles and Camilla have each had their own dalliances too. Going insane over a fling is silly when you have a lifetime bond.

Charlene is a miserable brat and mentally unstable. I have to put it that plainly. No one loves her. She became vengeful when Prince Albert did not fall madly in love with her even though she is not even in love with him. She is just embarrassed over the whole situation and determined to make a mess. It will end badly for her if she does not learn how to behave quickly.

Nothing says "a lifetime bond" like waiting to acknowledge the child and paying the mother to stay quiet. Giving interviews to Paris Match when the father won't is cherry on top of the cake.

The royal court in Monaco is expected to welcome a "petit prince" this week when the new ruler publicly recognises his son born out of wedlock.

Prince Albert II is to make an announcement about the 22-month-old child on Thursday, one day after the end of the official mourning period for his father Prince Rainier and five days before his own coronation.

The boy, named Eric Alexandre Stèphane and known as Alexandre, was born after the prince's five-year affair with Nicole Coste, a Togolese former flight attendant.

Although Prince Albert has no other recognised children, Alexandre is not in line to the Monaco throne. In April 2002 the constitution of the principality was changed to ensure that only "direct and legitimate descendants" could rule.

However, recognition will put Alexandre in line for an estimated €2bn (£1.35bn) inheritance.

The move to recognise Alexandre comes after months of negotiations between the royal court and 33-year-old Ms Coste. The boy's existence was a closely guarded secret until two months ago, when Paris Match published photographs of the 47-year-old prince with his son less than a month after Prince Rainier's death.

Prince Albert is believed to have already legally recognised Alexandre in December 2003, when the boy was four months old, after DNA tests revealed the prince was the father.

In return for the use of his Paris flat, a villa in the south of France, a BMW and €10,000 a month maintenance payments, he had asked Ms Coste to keep the child secret while Prince Rainier was alive.

The prince successfully sued Paris Match for invasion of privacy, and last week the magazine was fined €50,000 in damages, plus costs. The magazine has appealed.

The prince and Ms Coste met on a flight in July 1997. During their secret romance the couple met at the prince's apartments in Paris and Monte Carlo. The affair is believed to have ended shortly after Alexandre was conceived.

Yet despite your expertise you didn't know Nicole has two older children, or that she has lost custody of them.

You are too fanciful. She was not physically forced. She learned on the eve of the wedding that Nicole Coste was sharing Prince Albert’s quarters AND the Prince was facing another paternity dispute. She was humiliated and angry, but went through with the wedding once it was made clear to her that she would be stripped of all gifts the Prince had given her and she would be cut off. No friend of the family, Fergie-and-Andrew deal for a woman who jilts the prince on the eve of the wedding. She is not a victim. Filthy lucre is what lured her and now, she is eternally wrathful that filthy lucre is all she got.

You aren't seriously making an argument that Nicole Coste was lured to Albert by the strength of his animal magnetism or skillful conversation.

It is not really a show of strength when the "consort" gives interviews criticizing the wife. Looks weak and resentful.
Anonymous
Nicole Coste has consistently criticized Charlene right from the start. She claimed that Charlene moved her son into the servant’s quarters before the wedding. She doesn’t seem all that confident.
Anonymous
Nicole Coste doesn’t look beautiful to me.

Ok, so between this comment and previous ones about being "sophisticated" about bad behavior, is anyone else reminded of this DHL commercial from the '90s?

She/he sounds like some affected fiction writer, with notions of insider knowledge, bombing the thread. Of course Charlene couldn't not marry him. It was time for heirs to arrive. Can you imagine Albert presenting two half white future princes/princesses to carry on the royal line? The forces that be got it done & still nothing changed. If he were a dog he would be neutered to stop the endless supply of puppies that keep appearing. There is totally more to this story. It just is being kept hidden.

Jesus, this thread has gotten creepy. PP, you’re spending your Saturday posting over and over to bash someone you don’t know. Your writing style is recognizable. You’ve written other ugly posts in this thread too. What has you THIS upset?

Royal prince has a mistress and wife is mad. So shocking! I know.

Dude, no one normal is as up this woman’s ass as you are. You know WAY too much. Did she have her pet re-homed too? What color panties does she wear on Sunday?

Maybe Charlene shaved her head to be like Nicole Coste?
