Nobody in Washington uses "DMV." Where are you actually posting from?

What are you talking about? I've been in DC for over 20 years -- and everyone here uses "DMV."

I’ve lived in the area for 46 years and have always used the term DMV.

Only transplants and blacks use DMV.

I think OP was a liberal incel that stumbled upon a female that bullied him into marriage and fatherhood.

This. I have lived here my whole life. No to “DMV” and no to “Reagan” Airport.

Sounds like a frat guy who never grew up and who only pays attention to his sons and other boys and other Bro Dads, doing sports or bro male stuff.

Prob has a mediocre academic resume and job resume- survives by kissing @$$ to bros and hoping for favors.

I’m a Bro Dad. Had a great day with my boys. All three of us went fishing early in the morning, then older son and I went to the range for some shooting, then I spent the afternoon helping younger son work on his car. Grilled some steaks for dinner, movie night after that. Great day all around.

Is this what a bro dad is? This just sounds like an outdoorsy dad. I thought a bro dad had the mentality of "boys will be boys". The toxic masculinity disguised as "being a guy". There just seems to be a big difference to me between a "bro" and a guy who likes fishing, shooting, and grilling.

Agree.

There’s also an element of they know they’re not competitive so can never move and must only survive in a community with their parents or other very similar Bro Dads.

The stupid radio stations do. Call it DMV.

Anyone who lives here does not use it and thinks it’s asinine since 99% of the country calls the Dept of Motor Vehicles the DMV.

But alas here it’s the MVA motor vehicle authority or what not. So stupid

Most bro dads are dumber than bricks. Nothing to be insecure around, more like they’re annoying to be around since they’re so dumb and shallow.

To me a bro dad is a successful business guy who does triathlons and talks about doing triathlons… talks about things like finance, creatine and trips to Europe. Dresses in nice suits for work and full spandex for biking… has or has plans to climb a major mountain with a Sherpa just so he can talk about it and expects perfection from his wife and kids.
Nova is filled with them

Only transplants and whites call it Nova.

This was addressed multiple times: it's a white, upper-middle class privilege thing. Bro Dads know all the local cops because they used to throw keggers together in high school. I doubt many Af-Am's could say the same.

I know bro dads who are black and Asian. You don’t have to be white to be a bro dad.

Those are all solo sports and family trips.

Bro dads need the team sports to okay or watch or talk about the glory days. Not the lone world athlete.

Btw, define “successful business guy.”

Only sick-minded whip cracking former subjugators with no moral compasses say NOVA.

If you're in the same social orbit of a bro, he's your financial and status peer. Either he's far more successful than you care to admit or maybe you're a deluded loser with delusions of grandeur and you're both proles.
