Sadly, it's this attitude that allows these issues to grow, as you, PP, are part of the problem. And don't speak unless you have direct experience with these matters. |
At least you’re looking at actual facts rather than the trumpers inventing this garbage to stoke racial tensions. |

I will admit things are not "as-bad" now. I was personally assaulted by a gang member about 15 years ago for breaking up an underage drinking and 'who-knows-what-else' party. Have a police report number. Police dropped by a few days later to warn me of the weapons they confiscated from their car. Before that had a neighbor was shot and killed down the street from their home. Still have the videos of the beat-down in front of our house.
A lot has changed for the better (at least in my neighborhood), although the police # is still on speed-dial (and used at least once a quarter). If the schools report 0, that's fine - I'm so glad there are no gangs anywhere in the schools today - although it's strange that was called 911 earlier this year for a large number of gentlemen in a morning fight. Also, doesn't explain the police car stationed at the HS at the beginning of the year? FYI - I'm not a trumper. My guess is the PP is one of the "these are not the droids your looking for" crowd. Didn't you know that DC and MC are perfect? Nothing bad ever happens here - you're crazy people if you think that. |
| Oh, and I'm not the same person as 04/06/2018 16:49, but it sounds like they might be in the same / similar neighborhood |
Drive by Walter Johnson High school and you will see a police car park there every day. |
| Provide links to actual news stories within the past 1-2 years of incidents at these schools otherwise I'm calling it BS. |
|
Rather than look at news - go do you own homework on the police reports.
Anyone who has been assaulted by a gang would find your comment offensive, as do I. |
Do you honestly think there's no gang activity in high schools and that "Trumpers" are making it up?? I'm going to bet you're not an educator. |
| PP and I do agree you won't find it officially called a "school incident". The activity is off-property. The school looks clean; but the assaults were to/from before/after. |
| 21:21, sorry someone commented while I was typing.. I was PP 04/06/2018 21:15 |
http://www.wusa9.com/article/news/local/gang-recruiting-seen-as-early-as-elementary-school/409171264 Hope this helps. |
Well, you’re the one digging up this old thread. |
DP. No it doesn't help. This talks about recruitment of elementary-aged kids....in Virginia! !!! And the thing is you posted the same link on another thread and you got called out on it. Here you tried to do the same thing. |
Thanks for providing the only credible info. It’s reassuring there are 0 real incidents. |
Um. Did you read the article? Last I checked, Gaithersburg, MD was in Montgomery County? "Son dentro,” said Reyes’ grieving mother on Wednesday. “They’re inside,” is what she said in English, referring to gang activity in her daughters’ schools. She told WUSA she believed her daughter’s involvement began in middle school. The family lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Alexandra Reyes went to Watkins Mill High School, according to a Montgomery County Public Schools Spokesperson, who says Reyes dropped out. The spokesperson said Reyes was no longer a student, so when her body was found in Virginia, a note did not go out to parents and students. [..] Police say the 22-year-old victim’s body was discovered by hikers near Game Preserve Rd. in Gaithersburg last November. Although, you are correct that it is interesting - not a peep on the Maryland news. Its people like you that makes this issue even worse. |
