Why is that ok, but Don Jr and co traitors?

Trump Jr. is being transparent with his emails.

HRC bleachbit her emails

Comey still hasn't turned in his memos to congress.

Huge double standard here.

Transparency is now judged by the fact that Uday released the emails only after being contacted for comment by the NYT as they were about to write a story? And only after asserting the meeting was a nothingburger about adoptions? Interesting.

Notice the Libs don't have an answer.

Trump Jr. lied lied lied. Trump's admin is full of liars, with the biggest liar at the helm.

If HRC's team had done this, you Trumpsters would be all over it.

Steele was an ally; Russians aren't. You are all traitors.

Sure. Don Don has no clue how sophisticated Russian intelligence tradecraft is. He was played, took the bait, and essentially became a Russian agent himself. He may still not understand that.

I wonder if there is a law requiring you to notify authorities if you know a foreign power is trying to influence elections?

Yes, they do. There is a big difference in hiring a private consultant and surreptitiously trading favors with a foreign government.

I agree that seeking the Steele dossier (initiated by Republicans, as you noted) is unseemly and disgraceful, but it is does not create obligations to a hostile foreign government.

Wait, Steele is a private consultant, and Goldstone is part of Russian government? Who represented the Russian government here?

Natalia Veselnitskaya may not actually have been a Russian Govt employee, but she appears to have worked with the russian govt, and more importantly, TrumpJr, Manafort, and Kushner THOUGHT the info she had was from the Russian Govt.

But in fact, she was not a Russian government lawyer nor was she representing them.

Yes, in the end the story will be about greed, hubris, and political naivete. The Trump kids were raised to think they are untouchable. We'll see if that's true. Could NOT have happened to a more deserving family.

A. They she thought she was
B. She was clearly acting on behalf of the Russian intelliegence service to provide plausible deniability

Read up on Russian intelligence tradecraft before defending the indefensible. This kind of dangle is right out of the playbook.

Obama WAS PRESIDENT. He wanted to engage in diplomacy. Like Presidents do. Like Trump and Putin at the G20.

Trump was the son of a candidate with no official government role. He wanted to engage in illegal behavior. Like Trumps do.

Now, if Obama had been a private citizen, and the conversation had been about getting "something of value" to win the election, you might have a point. As it is, you do not.

She has publicly stated she was not acting on behalf of the Russian gov. Citations to prove she was?

The email states clearly that the information is coming from the Russian government. Is that true? We don't know yet. But the important part is that the Trump family (Don Jr), White House officials (Jared) AND campaign (Manafort) all thought they were going to meet with a Russian contact to get dirt on Hillary as part of the Russian government support for Trump. It LITERALLY, incredibly, is all in the email.

Don didn't meet with a rep from the Russian gov.

Your narrative is false

I hate having to fight over facts but did you read the emails published today???? I suggest you go read it first.

Don Jr thought she was a Russian Government lawyer .. it does not matter what she really is .. It what she thought she was when he went to meet her.

1. Stele is not a foreign government
2. He did not give the oppo research away. He was paid for it
3. Even given 1&2, it was still slimy. Not as limy as a golden shower. But slimy.
