Kane from Kaneshow divorcing and crying on air right now

We can edit, and will edit, on-demand shows all of the time. While I didn't hear the audio, I'd bet it was live and something that was talked about beforehand, planned. While I doubt he or anyone planned to get that personal, that's what happens when you're truly comfortable on-air. And knowing many personalities, I can tell you that many of them feel more comfortable on-air than they do off. What happened was likely just real radio - his frustration, hurt, sadness, etc. 100% true or not, it was him venting. He would have likely asked to pull the audio because he was embarrassed after the fact, didn't want his daughters or family to hear it, or lawyers asked to pull it. Easy edit job.

Second, while I wont go into details, his salary is way higher than 100-200k. He has one of the biggest morning shows in the country and also a syndicated weekend show. His agent is making closer to 100k off his contracts than he is!

Sad situation. Sorry for a co-worker and his family. Really have nothing but extremely pleasant experiences when dealing with P.

What post? Twitter?
I've (not proud to admit it but) read all 30-some pages of this damn thread and this is one of the most insightful posts I've seen.

What about the post in Kane's instagram 5 days ago...it was a pic that said.. in the shower? Handcuff? If they have been separated long time ago does this means he is having sex with someone else?

I saw his note on Instagram.

Wow. I haven't gotten thru all 30+ pages of this. But this would have put to rest the belief that War of the Roses is staged. Just sayin...

it is staged, confirmed by the voice actors who participate.

Can someone please explain what a limited divorce is in layman's terms?

The note he posted on FB and IG is a few pages back in a quote box.

Maybe you need to research bipolar. manic stages and depressive stages. It's not being upset about something legitimately upsetting, taking a couple minutes to compose yourself and taking care of your shit. That's called be an adult. Especially at your place of work.

Hilarious!!!!!!

Being an adult...especially at work...means *not* spilling private details of your messy divorce on the radio and then bursting into tears.

+1 I thought the same thing...this thread is hilarious.

That's not bipolar, genius. He pulled himself back together because he has a job to do (and is a radio vet).

He also didn't pull himself back together. It was obvious that the rest of the show was pre-recorded.

^ He was very hoarse coming back from his break after his announcement so I call BS on that.

Honestly I love the Kane show and I really do feel for this whole divorce issues. But in my experience having OCD and ADHD are safe words when people under the spotlight want to admit to having mental illness but don't want to be 100% honest about the type and severity. I am not saying he is lying about his illness but it's likely to be depression, borderline or some other mental illness that has a greater stigma.

He had his doctor, the doctor who diagnosed and is treating him, on the show.

Nah, you could tell he had OCD when he talked about his home life and his compulsion to have everything super clean and 'just so'. I wonder how long his doctor's waiting list got after all the free publicity Kane gave him. I hope talking so openly about it helped the stimga lessen and others come from the shadows and seek help.

Actually, being a radio host (and a good one) means opening yourself up & being more personal than your typical job. Yes, if you're a bank teller, you're not expected to be crying and it would be unacceptable. However, he is on air for how many hours each week talking? It's his job to be personable, to open those doors into his personal life. The funny quirks, the kids, wife, disease and now.

Wrong, pp. We all heard Jack Diamond and Don Geronimo overshare on the radio, but they didn't air dirty laundry related to their divorce or ex...that's just in poor taste. When Don's wife died after a tragic accident, he came on air alone (without sidekicks) and bared his soul in tribute...that was raw, real emotion. Venting about your horrible ex and saying you feel no love for her and feel the same about a toaster oven is just bizarre...and in poor taste. He could have come on and simply said that he was sad to report he was divorcing and that hopes folks will respect his privacy during this difficult time. Period. But he didn't...because he was either trying to score some sympathy or hurt her (or perhaps both).

If he lives in Md you must be separated for a year BEFORE filing divorce. He must have filed for legal separation.

When Don went on air about Freda dying, that was beyond real. Freda kept him in check. The reality with radio is you either have chemistry, or you don't. The next thing is topics that people can relate to. Don ended up taking a long hiatus after Freda passed, and is now in Sacramento doing a podcast that you would have to pay for to hear.
