As someone who's gone through menopause and at least 60lbs heavier than Casey, I assure you there are a plethora of choices for accommodating the heat that are also appropriate to the occasion.

i am the pp and it is a really weird thing to wear. do you see anyone else there wearing an outfit that would be appropriate at a sinatra-themed dinner theater? no, everyone else is wearing (1) clothes for daytime, and (2) sleeves. i don't care if she wants to show off her arms and shoulders - but spaghetti straps are a little... festive... for this occasion.

Elizabeth Warren had her stretch pants and long cardigans. Kamala Harris has her ill-fitting enormous beige blazers. Jill Biden has loud floral prints. And Casey DeSantis favors feminine dresses with straps.
