St. John’s has the number one player in the country? When was the last time that’s happened in the DMV?

Epstein at Landon in 2018 and Shellenberger during his year at Bullis. So two examples pretty recently.

The Bulldogs lack depth and historically all it takes is 1 - 2 injuries in a season to rerail the positive momentum.

My sleeper pick in the WCAC will be the Heights. I do think this is finally the year, they crack the top 4 of the WCAC. They won't win the league but I think they are going to surprise a lot of area teams this spring.

Pre-season so this would be a long shot. I think their best player last season was a goalie who left. Do they pass Dematha, PVI, Gonzaga, or Saint Johns?

does PVI take a step forward this Spring?

can't remember if they graduated a ton from last Spring.

Thanks

Best player last year was the goalie, but he was literally the only starter to graduate. Still have 2 strong Senior Attack, Very strong Senior D man, and talented FOGO. Think they beat PVI and one b/w DeMatha and GZ.

Lost an extraordinary Middie, very talented attackman, good D man and 2-3 ok middies. Should be similar to last years team

They did not beat PVI last season or the year before that.

Pp here, I mean they beat as in “they will beat” PVI & a GZ/DM type this upcoming 2023 season.

That is a list of 24 players only, so presumably doesn't account for 2023.

The Heights won't beat SJC or GZ, they don't have depth.

I do think they have a very good shot of beating DM or PVI.

Boh is an excellent coach.

Neither SJC nor Gonzaga will win the WCAC this year.

I realize that STA already won the IAC and I guess Heights are the WCAC champs. Congrats this makes back to back off season champs. Spring will be a whole new ball game.
