Can we stop with the hand-on-hips pose already?

Anonymous
Every posed photo of a woman that I see now shows her posing with hand on hip, elbow sticking out into space. I get that none of us wants to look like we have fat arms, but this look is getting very tired. Can we please mix it up a bit and get some variety? It's starting to look ridiculous!

Vent over. Thank you for listening!

Ha. I am with you. In fact, I find myself judging women who strike that pose. Maybe it's because I haven't mastered it yet.

I have one friend who posts something like that 4-5 times a week on Facebook... Agreed. Be done!

Ha? It helps with fat arms? Thanks for the tip

I've never posed that way in my life. I would feel like an utter fool.

What distresses me most is seeing my little 5 and 8 year old cousins already posing like that for EVERY picture. Like, they can't just stand up straight and smile at the camera. They have to jut out their hips make an attempt at a sexy model pose. WTF??? What happened to being a kid?

I'm a guy and I find myself adopting that pose. Should I be worried?

I thought that was the mommy-being-stern-with-toddler pose. Maybe they all have toddlers?

It helps create a better looking waist.

OMG yes. This and the "standing with legs crossed" thing. It looks like you have to pee, everyone.
