Let's end vocal fry!

Have you heard of the vocal fry phenomenon? Basically it's a speech affection similar to how the Kardashians talk. It's disempowering and a phenomenon among American girls. But mostly it's a huge pet peeve of mine lol. Tell your girls to speak with conviction, no more vocal fry!

Did you actually read the article you linked?

*sorry I should say speech "affectation". I should hardly judge how others speak if I can't use the correct vocabulary.

OMG, I TOTally AGree with you, like... TOTally.

Seriously though, I do agree. Vocal fry is one of the worst things to listen to. Do these girls/women not realize how ignorant it's making them sound?

From the article: "And maybe, just maybe, we should all try to worry less about the way people speak (or dress or...) and instead try to actually listen to and hear what they're saying.
So vocal fry? Don't vocal fry? Do what you want! Because if our crappy earbud headphones have taught us anything, it's that content matters more than the quality of delivery."

Ha ha no, I just watched the video...which has nothing to do with the article oddly enough. But the video has good examples of vocal fry. Here's another link to a vocal fry non-supporter.

Yeah sorry I know this was a posting fail- I like the video but totally disagree with the article. In all parts of life it is not what people say but how they say it. If you uptalk, can't speak with conviction, fry your words, etc I can't take you seriously.
